Following recent drone incidents and the need to separate yourself from the amateurs, I chose to go with Mike and the team at Commercial Drone Training (Aberdeen Course). Had a very enjoyable 3 days ...stayed locally, the course was presented and delivered perfectly. The course is fantastic, the staff are great and the accommodation is brilliant. The course runs at a reasonable rate, but the instructors insure everyone understands it before moving on. Took part in the last course and it was brillaint. If you can spare the extra days take the 5 day version instead of the 3 you won't regret it, the extra lessons and wealth of knowledge you'll gather in the extra days is well worth it. .

I booked the course in August and had a great experience.All the team are professional super friendly and made the course really enjoyable. The location in Devon was spot on and I have to admit I was a little anxious like most of the guys and girls who were on the course but all that disappeared quickly for all of us as the instructors were brilliant.Rich the course leader in the classroom environment, is an absolute encyclopaedia on all matters of the air and he has a wonderful teaching ability to help you absorb all the important stuff.If you are thinking of obtaining your pfco, take this course, invest your time and money with CDT, you’ll have a blast and wish you did it earlier.. I had the pleasure of using Commercial Drone Training (CDT) for my CAA PfCO at the end of Feb 2018, this particular week was very challenging due to the weather. The CDT team was excellent, professional and extremely helpful and accommodating. It is a hard process to choice from the many providers of CAA PfCO training, but I am glad that I took my time and selected well, the complete package provided was exceptional value for money, the training facilities, flight areas. food and accommodation was really good, but the real value was the experience, method of training, humour and pure ability of all the instructors. Well where do i start after competing the intense week long course all i can say is thank you, amazing teachers, good banter, could have a laugh but at the same time Rich could get across more information in first 48hrs than i learnt in a term at school! I dont know how but he somehow got it stuck in my brain and got me through my theory. Behind the scenes Mike was doing alot of organizing and weather forecast checking along with teaching students how to fly their drones. All the staff on site were very friendly from the maintance guys, cleaners to the catering and reception staff. The food was amazing and a nice room to relax/study in. The best drone training - the best value - the best experience - provided by some really relaxed, no nonsense instructors. I attend training courses every year, this was by far one of the most pleasantly run, informative and thoughtful team of professionals, nothing was too much trouble. From detailed planning exercises, thorough but easy to understand flight training - and a great session de-mystifying air navigation and mapping - I have only one thing to improve upon, you need to bring your running shoes or you'll pile on pounds at the restaurant. Some students attended with English as a second language and were encouraged and helped through to successful passes - some students had very limited flying experience - but this is the place to get trained propertly. 5 Days of excellent training, well organised and run in a great location for learning and flying.

Don't expect an easy course, it was hard work, long days and one night up past midnight completing the night rating add on.

Food was good too and I now have a good network of new friends as well.

Spent 5 days with Mike, Richard, and co...and the course exceeded my expectations. Brilliantly organised with experts in the field teaching you. Every element is covered. Expect intensive training and study....but put the work in and get the results! Don't expect to buy yourself a licence and have it handed over. Every single lecturer is an expert...Thank you CDT....and thanks Mike Green for running me to a garage when my van broke down!! More...
