Our rescue dog suffers from one of the hardest to change behavioral issues; fearful of people. Unfortunately, we thought she would become less fearful as she settled in, so we did not seek help early on. She is now 4 years old. Ken had his work cut out for him. Ken was incrediably patience and kind to Selena. His training methods and the tools he has taught us have made wonderful inroads into Selena's fears. As a plus, the training of both Selena and us has created a more positive bond between us. Almost as if she is relieved to let us "protect" her. Ken has a definite soft spot for rescues and will not shy away from the tough case. I have recommended Ken to family and friends and would not hesitate to do so again. More...

Our rescue dog was out of control, we honestly didn't know what to do. We called Ken who was highly recommended. He was always on time and very courteous and patient. My dog is completely different. She now listens, obeys, and is generally well behaved. The training Ken provided has changed our lives. I am overjoyed to recommend Ken to everyone I know! More...

Ken is an amazing trainer! I met Ken when he was dining out to eat where I work with his Service Dog. I have a bone disease and a recent hip replacement and was immediately interested in learning what knowledge he had about service dogs and quickly learned that he is a trainer and trains service dogs. My puppy Alpine started her training a bit later than would have been ideal, but Ken has found a way to work with her that is helping her learn and retain very quickly. He has an amazing way of teaching you, as the owner, to use the right psychology and words with your dog to be successful. Alpine is always excited to see Ken! It's such a cool relationship that they have. Ken has worked with me around my schedule and I couldn't be happier with the progress Alpine is making. I can really tell that he cares a lot about Alpine and about the situation that I am in with my health.  I would definitely recommend Colorado Canine Academy to anybody whether their dog is young or older. Ken is seriously the best!!! More...

Ken is awesome. Right from the start, when I was reaching out to places for quotes, Ken's responses were sincere, flexible, not scripted and straightforward.  His company (and he, himself) stood out immediately, making our decision to hire him easy. From there, we've worked with him 1-2x a week for over the past month.  He trains our pup, but also really hones in our skills as owners, so we can be consistent and expect quick results.  Our dog knows: sit, come, stay, heel, left/right, stand, down, on/off, under, let's go, wait, speak, crawl, go to his room, shake, roll and touch (On top of 2 more useless tricks I had to teach him - spin and rollover).  Our puppy just turned 4 months old last week. While we still have a ways to go, it's pretty apparent Ken is incredibly talented.  We also appreciate what a helpful and good guy he is. He really cares about our pup and goes out of his way to ensure he's getting a good balance of love and lessons.  Can't recommend Ken enough. More...

I haven't used their training yet, but I called to get a price quote for correcting my German Shepard's barking problem. The owner very friendly and told me a couple of tricks to try before paying for his services and they worked great. Helga's barking is almost zero now. I will be getting a new puppy this summer and I guarantee you I will be using this place. More...
