Colin was able to come within 24hrs of my enquiry.He fitted a new combination microwave into an existing cabinet and then put up a series of ikea picture shelves-7 in total. He was extremely patient as I tried to work out the layout!The job was completed to a fantastic standard-he was quick,methodical and very tidy.What more could you want from an odd job man.I will be calling on him again soon -what a find! What do you love most about your job?
The job satisfaction more than anything else.
Knowing that the client is happy with the help i've given.
There's no better feeling finishing a job and its spot on.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I had been a taxi driver since 1982 and back in the day I made a very good living working a few hours and making a good living.
Over the last 5 years or so I found I was working a lot more hours for less money so i decided enough is enough I need to do something else away from the taxi game.
For many years I’ve helped friends and relatives and their friends with oddjobs around their houses and gardens and I thought maybe I could make a living at it.
Hence Oddjob Colin, since starting officially in June, not only have I lost over 3 stone in weight, simply because I wasn’t sat on my backside all night and eating at 2’0clock in the morning, but I have found that I’m getting an amazing amount of job satisfaction, helping people with their Odd Jobs.
I am making a reasonable living at the moment and enjoying everything I do.
