I've used Coles Solicitors on a number of occasions, and have been extremely happy with the service every time. Between Oct and Dec 2018 Coles in York handled a property sale/purchase. Andrew and Gilly were excellent: they responded promptly to my questions, kept me up-to-date with what was happening and provided excellent advice. Lindsey (and her assistant Annabel) were very helpful and kept me informed for most of the process. My only criticism is that it took a little while before I was able to actually have a direct conversation with my assigned solicitor at the beginning of the process which was a little frustrating. But overall I had a very good experience with them and they did a professional job. I would certainly recommend them to others going through the buying process. (It was the estate agents who were the fly in the ointment and how they still have a use in this day and age is beyond me) - Good luck to anyone buying! :) More...

I worked with Khalid Shahjahan of Coles Solicitors in York for the purchase of a house in September 2016 and cannot recommend him or the firm highly enough. At every stage, I felt my needs were taken care of and that they listened to me and acted appropriately if I had a query. Responses were timely and uncomplicated, and creative suggestions were made to counteract potential problems in the future. The gracious and sometimes inventive way in which Khalid dealt with issues which arose allowed me to feel confident that I was in good hands. Elizabeth Matfin dealt my sons separation from his girlfriend not knowing myself where to start as to help as a house was involved on our first meeting myself and my son felt at ease everything explained clearly very empathetic to a delicate situation I felt my panic slowly eased away as she talked us through what’s next all the conveyances was done through Elizabeth she new all about time scales informed my son when needed on reply letters couldn’t recommend Coles solicitors enough and would like to personally thank Elizabeth for all her help
