In private practice there's much more freedom to help patients as they need and not be stuck with time constraints rules and regulations of public clinics, which impede maximum growth

I taught Spanish AP/IB for many years at a public high school and I am on the staff of Hofstra University and Briarcliffe College (10 years)--- where I teach Spanish, Psychology and Philosophy.
I have extensive knowledge and experience, working with substance abuse especially in the teenage population ; as I worked for many years in a residential inpatient drug rehab program for adolescents. And also I have counseled young adults- all ages including the geriatric population
I have also provided THERAPY to students in classes with other professors--- I have guided them through their career paths as well helping them through emotional difficulties that impede their being able to be fully present and aware in the classroom.
How can we expect our students to do well academically when they are not doing well mentally and emotionally?
