Love love love. One of the best breakfasts I have ever had at an extremely reasonable price!! I really struggle finding vegetarian dishes that are flavorful without being spicy (I really am a huge baby about spice! ) but the breakfast bruschetta here was incredible. Sundries tomatoes with poached eggs and feta on focaccia bread with potatoes, I'm drooling just thinking about it and it was 12$...are you kidding I am so sad that it's an hour drive for me or I would be there every weekend. We were passing through Nanaimo and it had been already a long day waking up so early. Decided to stop by COCO Cafe for some breakfast. Found this place via TripAdvisor reviews, and all I can say is wow.The staff was friendly, fast, and took pride in everything they did. The breakfast bagel sandwich I got and the breakfast wrap my girlfriend got looked like they were made to be photographed. Coco Cafe does a superb job of meeting 2 needs. First it's an excellent cafe that serves delicious breakfasts, lunches and coffee break treats. Love going to Coco's for breakfast! I got the BLT benny this time but I am also addicted to their bruschetta breakfast. Lovely art on the walls, very friendly staff, lots of parking, food and drinks are delicious, seating is tight so might be difficult for people in wheelchairs but that is my only concern (and I'm sure the staff would be willing to help if someone had a wheelchair).

My husband and I found this delightful place quite by accident on a Sunday drive around Cedar area. We each ordered the Tree Hugger sandwich with the soup which was a coconut vegetable and had coffee too.
We were immediately taken in by the cozy little interior and adored the small lending library. While we waited for our food, we noticed, and read about the brilliant idea that became the beginning of the COCO and we knew this would be a favourite place from then on.
And then the food came. Two magical beings with brilliant smiling faces carefully, but with glee, placed our plates before us. Asked us if they had done it right, and we realized they were making sure they had given us each our correct order. It didn't matter to us that we'd both ordered the same meal, but as my husband and I glanced at each other, we smiled too. We both assured them that it all was exactly as we'd ordered and thanked them for being so thoughtful.
As the two headed back to the kitchen my eyes followed them and I'm glad, because otherwise I would have missed the quiet but lovely exchange between them, as they high fived each other and one said to the other, we got that! They were so supportive of each other and it was a shared accomplishment.
I'm not sure what I enjoyed most, the two of them, or the food. And the food was delicious and unique and there was a party in my mouth. I love a good cup of coffee which is getting harder and harder to find in restaurants, but the COCO has great coffee too!
So, this delightful place has become a regular stop when we are in the Cedar area, because it has it ALL. We have also tried their frozen entrees, and the vegetarian enchiladas are so tasty.
If you haven't already done so, stop by. You might find yourself as satisfied as we are. More...

We'd like to thank Coco Café and all their staff for catering our wedding on July 23, 2016. The response was terrific, with everyone enjoying every element of dinner and dessert.

We selected Coco Café after trying a few other caterers and couldn't be happier. Prior to setting up a menu we were able to sample their food and the staff helped us design a custom menu that represented us as a couple. The samples blew us away with how good the quality is. The price was very affordable as well.
