I suppose the question is: What do you want when you look for a wedding photographer? In a pretty daunting sea of seemingly endless wedding photographers to choose from these days, for my wife and I, the answer to that question was: someone who can take quality pictures and capture the mood of the day, whilst not getting in the way themselves and providing good value for money. I am so so so so (and several more 'so's') glad that we went with Joe as our wedding photographer, as he completely blitzed all of these criteria and far more to boot. Joe was an absolute ninja of efficiency. He was there, but not seen, capturing the whole day with the deft eye of a seasoned professional. I've looked back at some of the photos since, and wondered 'Where was Joe taking that from, cos I don't remember him being there then?' Such is the practiced hand of a master at work. It was the moods he captured: a smile here, a handshake there. A rich tapestry of moments throughout the day that he caught within a camera that left me in awe and thoroughly pleased that we went with this photographer. And you know the best bit? Thoroughly, thoroughly nice guy. Personable, unassuming and gracious. Which is just what you want on the most nerve-wracking day of your life. As you can probably tell, I don't write reviews often, but it's worth it to pay tribute to the brilliant work Joe did for us. Could not recommend more. Thanks man for everything you did for us! I can't recommend Joe enough. Joe captured our wedding day perfectly and with absolute ease. His relaxed, but very professional manner is everything you need for your big day. So many of our guest commented on how great he was and how there hardly noticed he was there. His style of photography is a perfect mix of capturing the most special moments of your day and getting the shots that everyone needs to give to their family. Joe is a professional photographer so we had high hopes for the photos of our wedding day, and we weren't disappointed! Joe was with us for the whole day and captured so many natural moments in a creative but non-staged way. He was courteous and professional throughout, and made us and our guests feel at ease. He fitted in really well and at times we forgot he was taking pictures. The resulting selected and edited photos are fantastic and we will treasure them for years to come. Joe Coales is brilliant, such a lovely guy and an awesome photographer. He did all our wedding photography (with some help from his assistant), and we were so pleased with the photos! He had done his research looking around the venue, and had some great ideas for locations/ shots, but kept everything really natural just like we asked. We actually enjoyed doing the post-ceremony photos (and I usually hate having my photo taken!) as he managed to keep things relaxed and fun. He made a real effort to involve everyone, and seemed to genuinely enjoy it - really felt like he was part of our big day. It was so nice to be able to just entrust to him to get the shots/ group photos we wanted, he sorted it all with just a little help from our ushers.
