I have nothing but praise for the way in which Simon Theaker handled the sale of my mother’s property in Bury St Edmunds. Despite the protracted nature of the sale, due entirely to the first buyer pulling out after dithering for quite some time, the death of my mother - resulting in probate problems - and the resulting withdrawal of a second buyer ; and finally success with the eventual buyer, Simon was always positive and always prepared to discuss ways of moving on with the sale in a very professional manner. Perhaps understandably, most testimonials and recommendations for estate agents come from sellers of property - this is one from a buyer. It can be an added challenge when buying a new home that is a couple of hours' travelling away from the place you live (and are trying to sell), but Simon went the extra mile whenever it was needed to answer our questions, and generally smooth the way between buyer and seller. Simon's local knowledge of the area was also very useful for newcomers to the area - this is what agents should be like, but rarely are.
