I booked chairs and tables from CMA for my wedding. They arrived filthy, broken and chair covers were missing which caused so much stress. They agreed to replace the tables which were equally filthy and marked despite being advertised as “naked tables”. We organised our own wedding in our local village hall, using fabulous local suppliers for the food, flowers, cake, transport etc. Via our caterers, we hired 8 tables, basic crockery, cutlery, glass wear and napkins from CMA for 40 people, costing over £600. We were given a delivery slot of 1-4pm on the Friday before our wedding. After numerous phone calls, our tables arrived at 6:40pm, because the driver had apparently taken the wrong route - bearing in mind we live 15 minutes from CMA. The tables arrived dirty, covered in food and sticky drink spills and marks. As they arrived so late, we had to put them into position and lay them at speed, with no time to clean them. After attaching place names to napkins, we finally left the hall at 8:30pm, the night before our wedding, stressed and completely wired. I emailed CMA with this experience and eventually received an apology after a follow-up email requesting a response in 7 days. I asked for a refund for the delivery fee in-light of this experience and have not heard back. I imagine late delivery and dirty tables may not seem important when they typically deal with larger events organised by commercial venues. Event equipment hire
If you are planning a small event and know specifically what you are after, let us know and we will be more than happy to help. We have a fleet of 3.5 and 7.5 tonne lorries as well as dedicated delivery and collection days with time slots.
