Cluck Truck

I would give this 6 if I could. Wow... Let me tell you, anyone who serves Fried chicken and listens to Snoop is ok in my book to begin with, but their food made it even better. Sometimes I feel food trucks over price and don't deliver, but the pricing was spot on and the food was Damn Delicious.. Wow.. They came to our work and I couldn't decide but settled on the original wrap with a combo of fries/Sweet and I wanted to the parmesan garlic and received regular, but it was so damn cold outside/windy they probably didn't hear me. It didn't matter, this wrap was amazing. The portion was huge, the ratio of everything awesome. I let mine sit, not on purpose so I didn't get to eat it until 45 minutes later, but it was totally worth it, and it tasted so dang good. I am really impressed Cluck Truck!! The BOMB!! The cluck truck came to our office building today and it was a breathe of fresh air. Not having to eat in our cafeteria and having an awesome food option was great. We tried pretty much everything there and if you like chicken goodness in a wrap, this is the place for you!! I'm usually skeptical about ordering chicken at places because they always end up SO dry. The new owners here know how to fix that problem and I can say that it was consistent with the 3 wraps And Cowboy Nachos that we ordered. This place is AMAZING!!! My whole family ate here tonight and we all can't stop talking about how good it was!! I got "The Original" and LOVED the combination of the mango jalapeño slaw, the perfectly cooked chicken, and the chipotle sauce! My daughter kept saying that it was the best chicken she had ever had! Traveled to SLC for the doTERRA Convention (which was awesome) and their were plenty of food trucks to check out throughout our three days of being at convention. On day one, Cluck Truck was out and as a foodie and food truck lover, I'm glad they were there. Back home in Minnesota, we probably have 5 times as many trucks to choose from making decisions hard. I went for their cluck truck original wrap and it was different than other wraps I've ever had. For starters, the cabbage used, instead of lettuce was actually something I would now prefer to have all the time thanks to this creation and the mango-jalapeno and chili honey drizzle was awesome. Sure the chicken is fried, but for the most part, this is actually a pretty lite lunch and it was definitely clucking delicious! Hope to see these guys back out on the street in 2018 when my wife and I return because we've been in SLC for a full day now and this was the first satisfying meal we've had and it was from a food truck!  #knowbeforeyougo More...

I went to the Food Truck Roundup last night. I read reviews of this food truck so I decided to give it a try.  I ordered the Buffalo Ranch Chicken wrap. It was very delicious! I highly recommend trying it out if you're wondering what to get. The flavors were perfect, not too spicy, just the right mix of Buffalo sauce with the Ranch. The chicken was moist and the outer breading was perfectly crispy. The wrap was a great meal to eat at the Roundup because you usually have to stand, which we did. The Buffalo wrap is out of this world!  The buffalo sauce was very tasty, not spicy enough for me, but I'm a franks hot sauce nut. I loved the real blue cheese inside. The chicken was crispy and not cooked so much that is was still moist.  My wife got the Hawaiian, which she also liked allot. It had chunks of pineapple inside. This was pretty tasty and more importantly - filling - for a food truck lunch. I ordered an Original wrap with Parmesan fries for $9. It was pretty good - I felt that there was plenty of chicken in my wrap, although they were a little heavy-handed with the coleslaw. The sauce had GREAT flavor, but was pretty thin, so it was all running out the other end. I will say that the chicken was well cooked - crispy, but not overdone/dry, which is sometimes a concern The Parmesan fries didn't have much flavor (they tasted more like regular fries since most of the parmesan had fallen off), but they were hot and crispy so points for that. The dipping sauces were VERY tasty, but the additional sauces are extra $. They weren't very fast when I was there - about 15 minute wait AFTER ordering. The Cluck Truck visited my job today for lunch and I focused that it was worth a try considering how many of the other employees were standing in line for their wraps. I got a Hawaiian chicken wrap and parmesan fries for $11 combo. The chicken was crispy not dry so I'm guessing freshly cooked. The combination of pineapples and whatever sauce they dreamed that crispy chicken in was perfection. Really loved it. Fries were thin cut which makes them extra crispy. Can I just say I LOVE the Cluck Truck!  I am a bit of a snob when it comes to cleanliness and this truck puts even  my grandma's kitchen to shame.  I peeked into the kitchen area and was pleasantly surprised with how clean and orderly the place was.  So nice to see as some trucks really shouldn't even be serving pre-packaged food.Then there is the food.....Wow!  I enjoyed the original chicken as a salad.  Every bite of it was a pure heavenly delight. The chicken was crunchy but not dry at all as one will sometimes find with deep fry.  My mom is from the south and I grew up on fried chicken so I consider myself somewhat experienced as to what a good fried chicken should be.  These guys have NAILED it!  That combined with the perfect blend of cabbage, greens and their AMAZING sauce left me wanting to come back for more!  I really can't say enough about this amazing food truck! First the GOOD news, then the BAD; The GOOD news...Fries: crispy, flakey goodness that was freshly made to order. You gotta try it with ALL the dipping sauces, it's a game changer. You CANNOT find their kind of saucy flavor anywhere that just serves the Utah traditional fry sauce. Now, the BAD...Burrito: I got the Cluck Truck original chicken with mango habanero sauce and I'd hate to admit it, but it left me wanting more. The chicken-to-filling ratio is off. Subpar lettuce filling with way too much chicken and not in a good way. I wanted to love this burrito but it kinda felt like they stuffed a chick-fil-a breast into a tortilla and called it a day. Caught them on my lunch break and took a chance. The Cluck Truck Offers several chicken wraps with a new take on fried chicken. It is defiantly crunchier then most but it's great with their sauce options. Be sure to try their gourmet dessert of the day it's very satisfying. Most chicken wraps leaving wanting some more, but this was a good balance for an  on-the-go meal. I just wish they had more locations/trucks. I didn't find this truck it found me. I bought the Chinese Chicken wrap and Homemade crunchy fried pickles, and I'm in love. First off I hate wraps, there's something about tasting a shitty tortilla with every bite, and I told them that so they offered to make it a salad which was awesome but I decided that if this is a wrap truck I better try the wrap and I'm glad I did. The wrapper was a tortilla but not a shitty one and it worked as a whole with my Chinese Chicken. The flavor is spot on. I'm worried that I won't try another of their wraps because of how good this one is. It is full of flavor and cooked to perfection. The pickles need a new paragraph of their own. I love pickles. I love them. So I've wanted to like fried pickles for a long time. Every time they've let me down, until now. These are the perfect fried pickles. I saw the Cluck Truck at a local food truck round up and decided I should try it out.The menu is a decent size and is sure to have something on it that you will like.  They've got wraps with Hawaiian chicken, Greek style, Chinese, Southwest, and then some limited time daily specials as well.  They've got fries, regular or garlic Parmesan.  Best of all, they've got great dipping sauces.  A spicy mayo, roasted garlic aioli, chipotle ranch, or homemade ketchup are all available.I decided to go with the Cluck Truck Original, mango jalapeno coleslaw, homemade honey chili sauce, and chicken.  My girlfriend picked up the buffalo wrap, a daily special.  We both had it in a combo for $10, served with french fries and a drink.  For the sauces we went with roasted garlic aioli for me and chipotle ranch for my girlfriend.The food took about 5-7 minutes to come out, which could be problematic on a busier day.  It was all nice and warm.  The wraps are split in the middle, so we exchanged a half each so that we could try both the buffalo and the cluck truck og.  They were both really good.  The og was sweet and a little spicy, and the chicken was really tender and juicy.  The buffalo was great as well, but the last couple of bites had almost too much sauce in them, which is weird because I really, really love my sauce.  The fries were good, but were a little cold when we started eating them.  They were a little crispy, which was good.  The sauces drove the whole meal home though.  The sauces we had were both amazing, with the edge going to the garlic aioli.  We loved the meal, but the sauces are what will absolutely be bringing us back for more.Overall it was a solid meal, at a solid price.  It seems rare to get an entree, drink and side from a food truck for $10, so this seemed like a good deal.  We both left full as well.  This is definitely a truck worth checking out if you can get yourself to turn down your favorite food truck for a day and come here instead. Holy Original Spicy Chicken wrap. Tried it at the food truck roundup in Provo and its life changing. They gave me a chocolate chip caramel cookie with it too that was incredible. Definitely try this place out.
