Perfect Photos! We booked Clive over a year in advance as we were impressed by his documentary style of photography. We couldn’t have asked for more from him, everything ran smoothly with getting photos and capturing the events through the day. We can’t recommend him highly enough! More...

MUST BOOK!!! We booked Clive in August of 2021 - a whole year before our wedding, after seeing the beautiful work he has previously produced. Clive is an amazing photographer; from the communication, proffesionalism and work, his contribution towards our day was more than we could have asked for and our special day was captured beautifully. Thank you Clive, we are forever grateful. More...

My fiance and I unfortunately had to cancel our wedding after we'd booked Clive to do our photography. However, we chose to get engagement photos done instead which we have just received and are so incredibly pleased with.
Clive met us at our venue of choice on the day and we were immediately comfortable and relaxed with him. He's incredibly friendly and professional and made us feel at ease. We walked around and he suggested a few poses, but mostly we took gorgeous natural (unposd) shots in nature, which are so lovely (and edited beautifully).
We'd highly recommend Clive for any event, he's easygoing, very talented, communicative and helpful and overall a lovely photographer to work with! Thanks Clive!

Clive was an absolute pleasure to work with. I am a photographer so was very nervous and particular on who was to take our photographs for our special day. Clive couldn’t have done a better job! For a family who is camera shy, he made everyone feel so comfortable and at ease capturing moments no one was aware of. To top it all off, the photographs were beautiful capturing a complete story of our day. Very highly recommended! More...

We just wanted to say how thankful we are for your incredible work at our wedding. The photos are stunning and (in the nicest way possible) we feel like we barely saw you. From the day we first got in touch you were incredibly friendly, polite, and professional.

We feel that for the price we paid, we got twice as much for it. Especially considering the amount of photos you sent us, including our pre-wedding shoot, in high and low resolution on the USB - it's going to be so hard to choose which ones go into the album.

Thank you again, we'd recommend you to absolutely anybody!

Clive Nolan was our photographer for our wedding back in March and we are so pleased he booked him. He was amazing throughout the day and we had friends and family mention how unobtrusive and relaxed he was. He put everyone at ease. When the photos arrived we were blown away! They were so beautiful and he captured so many lovely moments which we would have missed otherwise. Very highly recommended! More...

Q&As

With over 300 weddings now photographed over the last 13 years and many, many more portraiture sessions and documentary photography assignments, I think the three key elements that make up a great photograph are; Light, Form and Emotion. Knowing how best to use light and understanding the different qualities of it is so important as is the form of the photograph; the composition and framing of the scene. But perhaps the most important element is the emotion; that human connection that makes for a truly great photograph.

Getting to know a couple whose wedding you are going to photograph is such an important part of the job. I like to chat about how they met, what their plans are for the big day, their themes and colour selections. It all helps to make the process as smooth as possible.

Meeting great couples and photographing their special days - often in the beautiful landscapes of Wales and the UK. I love seeing how people, from many differnt walks of life and cultures, celebrate with their families and loved ones.

I'd been doing bits and pieces of photography for nearly 20 years before deciding to go full time as a wedding photographer. I found I absolutely love photographing weddings and people's celebrations and when myself, partner Sarah, and our daughter Matilda moved to the Snowdonia National Park- with its amazing scenery and beautiful wedding venues - it was a fantastic decision to make.

One of my favourite parts of the job is receiving lovely feedback and testimonials from couples whose weddings I have photographed. I am particularly pleased as so many couples comment on how relaxed and easy-going I am, how I made them feel at ease during the day. That is such as great compliment as I strive to be as relaxed and friendly as possible to get the best photographs of the day. Alongside that I do feel that I have a very strong portfolio of beautiful and distinctive wedding photography.
