An energetic and engaging teller of myths, legends and folktales from around the world.
Something different for weddings, birthdays or any special occasion.
Museums, pubs, historical sites, restaurants, arts centres, libraries, schools, festivals.
Hours of stories on dozens of themes.
Site specific events and story walks a speciality.

Twenty years experience. Ten million public liability insurance through Equity membership. Recent clean enhanced CRB.

Experienced professional, have toured internationally over 15 years. Rock, folk, world, prog, ska etc.
Good performer with backing vocals, own kit, transport, clean license.

Equally aware of the bass as:
a) An instrument in it's own right
1) A device that tells dancers when to put their feet on the floor

Reviewers have said: "Cliff's omnipresent fat and groovy basslines", "rhumbafunky", "funk-grit", "Chris Squire's funky younger brother". So I've apparently got the funk (though I very rarely slap).

Quick learner who listens to other musicians and works well with the drummer. All work considered from touring to remote recording (send me your track, I'll send you a wav full of bass!).

Djembe, darabuka, bodhran, shakers and claves.
Grew from bass playing with master drummer Musa Mboob and sharing workshop leading with him. I've been playing drums for about 10 years as my second instrument and run a weekly drum workshop in Crediton working with African and Middle Eastern styles and patterns

I am an experienced workshop leader able to provide workshops to beginners and above in all of my skills, storytelling, music and many other aspects of the creative arts such as theatre skills from sound and lighting through stage management to acting. I am also an experienced historical interpreter and can offer workshops on historical periods from the bronze age to the Victorians.
