I've been using Gemma for hair services for some years now and was so pleased when I heard she was branching into permanent makeup as well. Her attention to detail is impeccable and she really listens to what her clients are looking for but uses her knowledge to guide you with what will suit you and I trust her completely. She explains exactly what is involved in the process both before you start and as she's going along and the setting she works in has a lovely feel to it. Gemma did the hair and make-up for my wedding in April and she was absolutely fantastic! Communication from the start was amazing and she immediately made me feel at ease. At my trial she really listened to what I wanted and I was over the moon with my final look on my wedding day. I don’t wear a lot of make-up and Gemma made me look like the best version of myself whilst still looking like me! She also did hair and make-up for my 4 bridesmaids who were all really happy too. I found Gemma years ago online and booked her 2 years before my wedding. My sister and I went and had a bride and bridesmaid trial for make up and hair do which was lush, such a lovely relaxing atmosphere. Gem was amazing, I am allergic to rosemary and have been caught out with it being in cosmetics as an essential oil, Gem looked up the ingredients of all products being used, from cleanser to eye shadow pallettes. I could not recommend Gemma any more! I was so in love with the look she created and it lasted sooo well over the day. She was also such a lovely, unobtrusive presence on the morning of the wedding. I know myself and all the bridesmaids loved chatting with her and she slotted perfectly into the morning. She did an amazing job getting everyone ready on time and looking so well, each of the girls really loved their hair! I had my wedding on Friday, and we were so pleased to have Gemma and Charlotte do the hair and make up of myself, my bridesmaids and the mothers of the groom and bride. They were absolutely amazing. We had SO many compliments on the day, and the hair and makeup stayed on in 34 degree heat right until the end of the night. Gemma did my hair for my wedding and absolutely nailed it. I wasnt entirely sure what I wanted but we experimented and she came up with the PERFECT style which I loved. As it was a loose, bohemian-type style she told me not to "head bang or anything" for risk of it all falling out... well, I head banged a lot (we danced all night) and it stayed put. Wow! My experience with Gemma couldn’t have been better. I needed someone to do my hair along with my Maid if Honour’s and we met Gemma at the Winkworth Farm open day. We hit it off and I booked with her the next day! Gemma was really accommodating during the changes that came from postponing a wedding during Covid. When we finally got to have our trial it was amazing. A beautiful location and a really enjoyable experience for both of us! As we got closer to the day I realised that I wanted to change my style and that didn’t phase Gemma at all. I was slightly nervous having not had a trial but Gemma put me at ease on the day and the final result was just INCREDIBLE! Gemma was absolutely amazing! My original MUA cancelled the day before my wedding but I couldn’t have been happier with how I looked on the day, in a way it worked out for the best. I’m not particularly experienced with make up and Gemma was really great at recommending looks to make sure I loved the end result.
