We offer training for all ages of dogs in our own dedicated training centre in Old Amersham or at alternative locations. Group classes include Puppy Pre School Socialisation, Bronze Basic Manners, Silver Improvers, Gold Advanced, Beginners Agility, Progressive Agility, Hounds in the Holidays Children's Workshops and specialist workshops with external trainers.

We’re reaching the end of our second really valuable course. I say we and our as the experience is as a group of trainer-owner-puppy connections. The dog learns, the owner learns and we learn from each other. All very effective. We get through new challenges with some obvious distractions and on returning home, further practice reinforces the new moves - job done. I always say to Dougie the Cockerpoodle “Are you going to see Vikki today?” and immediately his head cocks to the side and the tail starts to wag. On arrival there is the one alpha-human who coincidentally has the highest value treats in town. More...

Vikki is absolutely amazing with dogs. After having my puppy for just a couple of weeks, I was at my wits end having had hardly any sleep and spending all my time cleaning up after him. Vikki came to my house and gave me lots of advice and tips which was invaluable and turned it all around. It was what Supernanny is to kids ! A couple of weeks later, I joined on of Vikki's Puppy Training classes, which was also really useful as we covered various commands and behaviours as well as letting the puppies socialise and us adults too.Highly recommended, she is the go-to dog trainer in the area ! My dog and I have been attending Cleaver Dog Training's 'Absolutely Agile' agility course at Mares Farm, Old Amersham. We are loving the course and it is great to see how much my dog enjoys the activities and wants to take part. It has been a great bonding experience for me and my dog and a good workout for us both! Great time with my daughter and labradoodle with Vicky and everyone taking part today. We enjoyed being outdoors but under cover so no need to worry about the weather and also doing an activity together which we all enjoyed equally. Very relaxed and good value too. Our dog is 5 and never been trained in tricks or agility so naturally bit confused as to what we were playing at but, with Vicky’s guidance, ended up very happily going through a long tunnel after initially not being remotely interested. I've been attending beginners 'agility' classes with Vikki for four weeks now, with my little rescue 'Choccy', and he's loving it, and so am I. She is so patient and good at imparting knowledge in a friendly and straightforward manner. Choccy used to be very nervous of other dogs, as he'd never been socialised as a puppy and hadn't met other dogs before we had him, but I see him gaining confidence every week with his new friends and he seems to thoroughly enjoy each new challenge.
