This is our 3rd Sunday brunch in a row we've visited Claudine's.  My family and I love the quality of the food and the taste of all the dishes we've tried.  The ingredients they use are natural, pasture raised, grass fed, free-range, nitrate free and sustainable.  You will not be disappointed.  Only challenge is it can get crowded that you may not find a table after you place your order, but it's worth the short wait. This was a perfect stop for us on the way to six flags magic mountain, the food & coffee kept us going for the rest of the day! What we ordered:*Chilaquiles~ $12.59*Churro Pancakes ~ $9.99*Breakfast 'Naan-zza' ~ $12.89*Russet Wedges~ $6As a cutely decorated breakfast & coffee shop in Encino, Claudine's was a nice surprise for us. The place is very spacious and light. You most likely won't have a hard time finding a table and parking is easy too. The churro pancakes were delicious and should probably be shared between two or three people. The chilaquiles & the breakfast naan were just alright. The coffees were delicious and helped us carry on. We would definitely come back if we ever happen to be in the area! More...

OH Claudine.. So close to a 5 star location but 4-4.5 is what will be given for now until future visits. I will do a pros and cons to make it easy for people. Pros- easy to find restaurant/bakery with free underground parking - the selection is quite great from the pancakes to avocado toast to the sides to much more. - The pancakes are quite delicious. Almost like melted biscuits put together with butter and syrup. Quite tasty. - the employees here are quite awesome. Extremely nice and let me know the specials. -Make sure to get a side of the russet potatoes and ask for extra crispy and small pieces if possible Cons - It is a bit on the pricey side - The billionaires bacon is not close to how good the original in SF at Surisan. They need to modify it a bit.- it was quite difficult to get some extra syrup as it was busy. Took a good minute Other than that, this place truly serves some delicious food and definitely deserves a visit if you are nearby More...

I've been here a few times and for the most part, everything is pretty tasty! They have underground parking that is usually easy to find a spot. When you enter, you order at the counter and then you have a seat and they bring you your food. They used to have a creme brûlée French toast here that was absolutely amazing! They have since taken it off the menu but their tres leches French toast is pretty good as is their truffle mushroom toast! This time around, I ordered their breakfast egg sandwich, but it was very dry and not very flavorful at all. So while they do have some great items on the menu, there are other items that are just okay. They do have a decent amount of vegetarian options on their menu and this restaurant also lends itself to be a good study spot with free WiFi and lots of bakery snacks and drinks! More...

Delicious and well-presented food. Seating both inside and outside. Busy cafe. We wanted to order the quiche but they had run out. Also, I was given two water cups and I asked where to fill it and the guy said they will bring it to us, which didn't happen. I later realized maybe he misunderstood my accent and thought I had said "where do I get my order" (not "water") lol. A helpful tip would be if they could advise at the beginning where to get your cutlery/ silverware and where to fill up water, as we got to our table and food came out and we didn't know about these things, so had to get them after food arrived. I notice that outside it seems pretty stroller friendly, too. Overall a positive experience. More...

The Z's Fried Chicken Sandwich is incredible, as are the BLAT Salad, the potato wedges, and the craft soda fountain. Our office orders from here very often and thankfully, the quality hasn't gone down. My only feedback is that the restaurant should seriously consider opening a little bit earlier. A lot of us in the area have to be at the office by 8:00, which is when the restaurant currently opens, so stopping by for breakfast beforehand isn't possible and I really wish I had that option. Damn Baby Breakfast was never this great in the SFV until now    Went with a couple friends tried the avo toast which was fantastic but then tried the breakfast burrito and it was HEAVEN. As we are leaving we are praising them all telling them this is fantastic food. Later that day, I tell my friend living nearby they have to postmates the burrito immediately and to try the Truffle toast because even though I hadn't tried it that seemed to be getting good reviews. I got back a text saying that was the best breakfast they'd had in months and they are so happy!!! So 4/4 people I know are DIE HARD FANS of this place. Seriously insane. Going back soon. More...

Delicious! This place is truly a hidden gem. The one thing I always worry about when getting brunch in LA on a weekend is the lines and long wait. We came here on a Sunday morning ordered from the counter and was able to find ourselves a table for four right away. They brought out our coffees almost instantly followed with our food. The iced vanilla latte with almond milk is a must! Perfect amount of sweetness that is not overbearing to the good coffee they have. The chorizo breakfast scramble was delicious! The potatoes on the side were seasoned and cooked to perfection! Can not wait to return here soon! More...

Fabulous!! Great restaurant to go with a group as everyone can order at the cashier and thus no one is haggling over the bill at the end of the meal. I had a Mediterranean bowl and thought it was super tasty.  Tasted the pancakes (light and happy-making), the (beyond meat) gyro looked great and the review was good on it.  So many places in the Valley seem to go for heavy food.  This place makes you feel happy about your life choices.  Highly recommend. This is a nice go-to for breakfast and brunch! Very bustling spot on the weekends, and since you order at the counter and find a table for yourself, can be tough to find a spot if you go at peak times (10:30am-noon). When I was there I saw a mix of families, younger people, and older people. The food here is yummy and filling, and I loved being able to watch them bake while waiting in line to order. Free parking in a lot downstairs off of Ventura was a nice treat! Metered parking is also available right in front on Ventura (though it's hard to come by). They also have beer, wine, and mimosas/bellinis/bloody marys! More...

Let me get straight to the point. The brisket burrito is a "must try" item. It's chock full of tender, succulent brisket, scrambled eggs, hash browns, two kinds of cheese and served with salsa verde and sour cream on the side (for delivery). It is so very tasty and very filling. You may need a nap afterwards. The second recommendation is the Z's Fried Chicken Sandwich. A perfectly fried chicken thigh (not breast) means extra flavorful chicken, perfectly fried, topped with a delicious slaw and house cheese sauce, served on a brioche bun. Flavor bomb! The russet wedges are a nice addition but if I had to nitpick, they could use a little more seasoning. These items are so good it's all I've ordered since I discovered this place on Grubhub for delivery. I plan to sample many of their other amazing-sounding breakfast items very soon. They are only open for breakfast and lunch. Not cheap but the prices reflect the high quality ingredients and can be justified by the creative, tasty flavors the menu delivers. MY GO TO BREAKFAST PLACE!Any time I have out of town guests, this is where I take them for breakfast. That's because I want them to be 1) impressed, and 2) full and sated so that no matter what else may or may not happen in LA, they will remember it fondly. First, there's a wide range of really delicious baked goods. But leave those till last. First, you'll want to order breakfast, which may very well leave no room in your stomach for any more deliciousness.Egg sandwich - a breakfast staple taken to it's elegant conclusion. Brisket Burrito? You becha -- slow cooked brisket, hash browns, scrambledeggs, cheddar and jack cheese, salsa verde (not spicy), crema, served wet! For the less adventurous but still picky, there's always Newton's 7am Breakfast which is 2 eggs any style, buttered toast, crispy russet wedges, house breakfast sausage or nitrate free bacon (excellent, thick, crispy bacon). Oh--and the build your own omelette is excellent, too, for when you want something simple yet indulgently meaty and cheesy (if you so choose). But, my true guilty pleasure here are the Churro Pancakes. I normally don't have carbolicious breakfasts, but I can always make an exception in this case. Yes, they are what you think they are--what you DREAM they are. They are crisply cinnamon sugar coated pancakes with chocolate ganache and real Vermont maple syrup. They are to die for, without actually having to die, which is convenient. They're filling without making you need a long nap, and, obviously, once consumed, you will have no room for any other baked good unless you need to buy a couple for the road, which is a very real possibility.OK, just writing this has made me hungry again. Oh--and there's easy free parking under the building, an added bonus. And a nice staff (order at the register then they bring you the food when it's ready), a pleasant place with other nice people. GO. EAT. You can thank me later. More...

I stand by my original review (below) but now feel that they shouldn't be docked for loud acoustics and kids running around. .. because I guess that's just the place they are.  Don't eat there if you don't like that... but you'll be missing out on some great food.Went there with a friend.  It was so loud inside that we actually chose to eat outside in 87 degree heat.  We actually chose to eat outside, 12 feet away from the traffic on Ventura boulevard because it was quieter than inside. But I tried their salmon tacos (maybe not a regular menu item but kudos for doing it) and they were revelatory.  I added some red wine to the lunch and it was really great... and the guy that was server/cashier and maybe everything else was running around (he might be a manager or owner or something but i seem to recall seeing him there a year or two ago) being SO damn pleasant... it's the difference between a good experience and a bad experience, people like that.Anyway... if they softened the acoustics, made it a touch darker and provided some sort of muzzle for the kids, I'd be in there all the time.  And, by the way, I don't mean some sort of child abuse muzzle... that would be wrong and kids have to eat, too.  But maybe something that would stop them from yelling and eating at the same time.  Strictly optional, of course.  What kind of animal forces a parent to muzzle their kid?  But IF the parent agreed that some sort of head-mounted mouth governor was preferable to having their child ruin other peoples lunch... it would be there as an option.  Or Ritalin pills that came in, like, Lion King Pez dispensers.  Again, not mandatory... but you could place them with Tapatio bottles near the water refill so they didn't have to be asked for. I'd be surprised if there was even a quarter of an apple in the big bowl. In fairness, there was more avocado than expected, but it was not of high quality.  Bottom line, I would have a much better meal if I'd brought my own lunch that day.  I do recommend the restaurant, but am unlikely to order a salad again.
