This is a real review by a real homeowner about Classic Remodeling of Hackensack, NJ. My husband and I decided to totally redo our roof, the roof had no leaks, yet by installing new technology materials (that are lighter and more efficient), we thought of it as an investment in our well being and a way to save money in heating and a/c. We researched greatly both the materials and above all the company that would do the installation. Once we decided on white GAF TPO, for the material, we then found, in GAF web site, Mr Lester W***** owner of Classic Remodeling (1 Hackensack Ave, Hackensack, NJ 07601). We were really impressed by them, no matter where we looked ( BBB, NJ DEp. Of Consumers affairs plus the usual) they had the highest ratings and great praises. We read tons of reviews and everybody was talking not only about the superb installation of their new roof, but above all about the great experience they had in dealing with Lester W***** as a professional, fair and true to his word business man. The very first time I called their number, I was called back by Mr W***** himself, in about 15 minutes. After talking to a sales person that came to our house, we agreed on the terms and signed a contract. The work on our roof started and by day two I was having doubts on the crew that was handling my roof. I called Mr W***** and told him that the installation wasn’t right, he was on another roof somewhere far, yet he said he would be there soon. He showed up on my roof in 20 minutes, leaving, I am sure, a way bigger job then mine (we have a tiny roof of about 800 sq ft). I wasn’t happy, the installation was not up to the standards I was expecting and mistakes were clearly made, TPO was new that crew. Lester W***** apologized for that crew, they were clearly still on a training curve in relation to TPO, he assured me that he would do good by me, he wanted me to have a roof with the high standards I was expecting. I was clearly in a bad mood and anxious, as my roof was now open and a tropical storm was approaching. Mr W***** understood that and showed up with a new foreman at our door the next day, a Sunday by the way! So the roof was totally re-done by a new, TPO expert crew, with new material and in the proper way. Of course this was a stressful experience, the job was longer then expected, and we had lots of anxiety: homeowner go through their own horror experiences with contractors and hear even more. In the home improving industry there are, unfortunately, lots of bad apples: flaky and improvised contractors that ruin the reputation for all. Sometime you don’t know if your contractor is going to show up the next day to finish the job, let along if something goes wrong, they are don’t want to be responsible, they don’t own their mistakes as they don’t want to fix them. So you can imagine how very anxious we were to see how our situation would be handled. We are pleased to say that Classic Remodeling IS NOT one of those unprofessional and unreliable companies!!!! Mr Lester W***** the owner of a big and super busy company took the time to inspect personally the job several times, he owned the mistakes done by his crew, promised that they would be fixed and followed through with it. He was there for us to make sure that all was done in a proper and satisfactory way. Of course we were furious at the beginning, but by the professional way Mr W***** handled the situation since the beginning (he was calm and apologized), we understood that things can happen. This is a huge company and he has to rely on several crews that are managed on the field by many foremen. The important part was that he honored our contract and the repute of his name. We have a great new roof now, but most of all, for once, we dealt with a person and a company that work really very hard to maintain the reputation and the value of their name that they developed over the years. At the end, when I paid and thanked Lester W***** he thanked me for giving him the possibility to fix the problems. This is the best value and warranty a company can give you. Very professional. I needed a new roof because of a leak and the presentation and price were the best. They were on time and finished in one day. Definitely would recommend.

It was finally time for a new roof for our home. My wife and I interviewed many contractors for this project. Classic Remodeling came to our home prepared. They showed us proof of insurance, license, hundreds of references and much product literature for different ideas. They answered all of our questions and concerns. We felt comfortable and chose them. They were not the leat expensive but were inthe middle of the prices we heard. Once the project was started it went just like they promised. We used Classic Remodeling for our roof a few years ago. The owner was very professional and it was a great experience. When we decided to add on to our house again we called Classic for our siding and additional roof. The owner called us back 20 minutes later and we made an appointment. When he came to our house my wife showed him the siding color that she wanted. It wasn't a color he had on hand but he promised her he would match it. Within 2 days he was back at our house with the sample that matched perfectly. As far as the installation went, it couldn't have been easier. I called them a few days before i needed my roof and he was there on time ready to work. Same thing with the siding. I called Classic when it was time for the siding to go on and he was at my house the morning he promised and within a few days my house was done. I would highly reccommend Classic Remodeling. The owner came through on everything he promised, finished the job on time and his crew was very professional throughout. Did I mention his price was very reasonable? Thanks again Classic Remodeling.
