I would have chosen negative stars if I could. DO NOT take your pup to this establishment- I wrote down what I wanted on the intake care, and the groomer didn't even walk through it with me. Instead, they bathed and fluffed him up but in reality didn’t trim any hair off. When I called back, Valerie told me to come back and they would take care of him, but the guy was so rude and aggressive it was a turnoff. He even told her to refund me and go back to where I took him last time. When I asked to process the refund as he said, she said she would only do half and quite honestly I doubt it will happen, so now I have been robbed of 65 pounds and need to schedule a groom back at my pup's old place. Every time we go our dog runs straight to the door like it’s her own house! Even if I take a wrong turn in the area she’ll always pull me back towards the building. She feels very comfortable there, very safe pair of hands, and they do such a wonderful job. They go above and beyond- the most recent time her coat was really matted in places (very active springer spaniel who doesn’t like to be brushed) and I thought they’d have to get the clippers out but instead they brushed every single one out- it took forty extra minutes!! After trying a few groomer in the area with bad experience I would say this is by far the best one! India loves also the waiting time there as they have a nice outdoor area.

I took my 4 month old Westie 'Wilson' to get his first haircut by David and I was so impressed, he came out looking very handsome! Not only did David do an excellent haircut on Wilson, you could tell that he was well looked after too. David and Valerie have a lovely shop full of goodies for dogs and you can tell they absolutely love animals. I will only take Wilson to see Auntie Valerie and Uncle David for grooming from now on as they made Wilson feel really special and us as dog owners also. Thank you and see you soon. Michelle More...

Lovely people and atmosphere at the grooming parlour! Me and my mum had brought our big dog (border collie and Alaskan malamute) and received the best service! Despite our dog disliking baths and not being able to stay calm, they handled him very well and had been understanding and patient.Pleasantly surprised with the good customer service we had as we have a difficult dog. Our Chihuahua's love this place and one of them is very sensitive about being washed and clipped & sometimes nips, but the guys at Clarendon Cross Canines really looked after him. I took my puppy Bingo here today for the first time. I'm so pleased I found this place. This family run business is an utter delight and I cannot recommend it highly enough. The staff are so lovely and the groomer talks you through everything before she takes your doggy downstairs to be pampered. She cut Bingo exactly how I asked. When I picked him up he looked amazing. The shop stocks everything you need for your furry friends too. One other thing to add, this grooming parlour DOES NOT smell at all of wet dogs, unlike many I have come across, If you're looking for a really good groomer, and lovely people who make a fuss of your pet...come to Clarendon Cross Canines. Our big rough collie Rupert has always been a real nightmare to groom, until we found this place. He used to literally run the other way when he thought we were going to the groomer, but now he happily comes along-tail wagging. He walks in, sees the staff (who are always so lovely) and rolls over for belly rubs. I'm telling you, it is a miracle. We just got a new Yorkie pup, dropped him off for his first groom today and I know he's in good hands. I can't recommend this place enough. They have given me wonderful tips to help me with Ruperts coat between grooms and even offered to give him a free wash/blow dry the week of my wedding so he was in tip top shape. Look no further - this is the place to take your dog if you want her to look gorgeous and be sure she has good experience as well as you do. Very friendly owner and high standard groomer will make sure you become a returned customer, well, I definately am one now. Clarendon Cross Canines is the best and coolest pet shop I have ever visited in my life. I never thought I would hype up a pet shop. Not only do they have a history of caring for pets for 100 years, they've developed an incredibly friendly, comfortable and magical atmosphere in a magical corner in Notting Hill. The walk there in itself is lovely. The personnel are genuinely lovely people who truly care for what they do. On top of all that the prices are amazing. We absolutely love Clarendon Cross Canines. After moving to London from San Francisco, we were eager to find a place for our puppy Frankie for daycare several days a week. After touring and trying several other different shops/daycares, we felt so relieved to find Clarendon Cross Canines. Frankie immediately felt at home, as did we.
