You totally 'got us' Claire Wakefield, and in so doing, captured the absolute essence, joy and celebration of our special day. We cannot thank you enough. Your calm and friendly presence helped us navigate and transcend the (potentially very) weird circumstances of a teeny-tiny Covid wedding, giving us truly beautiful images that 100% capture every joyous moment.

We, our guests and those who so sadly couldn't join us because of Covid, have all commented how you so brilliantly 'caught' the essence of our personalities at this special moment in our life. The sense of joy, love and sheer celebration shines through every photograph - just what I had hoped for, but couldn't imagine would actually be possible.

Claire Wakefield is both delightful and talented in equal measure and I genuinely could not recommend a photographer more highly.

We can’t say enough about Claire and the beautiful way she was able to capture the essence of each family member. We took family photos this past week and she was patience, creative, calm and a sweetheart. We have three kids 1.5, 4, and 6 and trying to get cooperation from this crew is not easy but she is one of those gifted people that can make a connection instantly even with your kids! Absolutely delighted that we chose Claire to be part of our special day. We had a very intimate Covid wedding and Claire was a fantastic addition to our party. She is so professional but also personable and enthusiastic and made us all feel relaxed and reassured. It’s so refreshing to meet someone who is so passionate about their job as she clearly really enjoys it. Also she immediately sent through a few preliminary snaps on the day which I thought was a lovely touch as it allowed me to forward them to absent family & friends straight away. 10/10!!! We have just had a shoot with Claire and we are buzzing! We were not sure about an engagement shoot originally, but saw Claire's lovely photography and wanted to capture some photos as memories from this time. She was so accommodating from the off and we discussed some locations that meant a lot to us, and she knew would mean some great picture opportunities. She helped advise us on the best time to have the shoot and stayed incredibly positive and supportive throughout it and made us feel like pros (when we were quite nervous!). Brilliant, if we could give Claire 10 stars out of 5 we would! Claire was impeccably organized in the run up to the day, not once did she ask for information that we’d already given her (and she was so chilled when our plan changed about 5 times, thanks COVID 😉). When I got out of the car on the day she was all like ‘WOW! AMAZING! YOU LOOK STUNNING!’ which actually made a huge difference to how I felt going in to the ceremony (was a bit worried that I wouldn’t look as nice as other brides as my hair and makeup were DIY jobs but she really boosted my confidence which money can’t buy in my opinion!). We really didn’t want the photos to take us away from our guests for too long or for anything to be done just ‘for a photo’ (personally as a wedding guest I hate waiting for half an hour in a line to throw some confetti!). Claire understood this completely, mostly blending in the background taking candid photos and getting all the posed shots out of the way in about 20 minutes which allowed us to get back to our guests before they missed us. She gave us a couple of photos straight away (she must have got editing as soon as she got home) which was awesome as we could share them sharpish with people who hadn’t been able to be there due to COVID restrictions. The finished photos arrived on a USB stick just 10 days after the wedding. They look stunning, exactly the style we wanted and everyone we have shown them to has loved them. We met Claire in the run up to the wedding to discuss what we wanted for our day. Pretty quickly it was clear that Claire was going to be able to do exactly what we wanted with zero fuss. We left the meeting excited, without any worry and that we had chosen the right photographer. Throughout the day Claire was a joy to work with. It truly felt like we had a friend there with us to photograph our day, a friend that is excellent and serious about her job while putting everyone at ease to get the best shots. What a wonderful photographer and lovely person claire is! She took the photos at our wedding in July and did such an amazing job. Before the day she made sure she had spoken to us various times to make sure she knew what we wanted, arrange timings and get to know us. She even took the time to visit our venue beforehand so that she was familiar with the perfect spots for photos. On the wedding day, she arrived early and got to work straight away, taking stunning photos. She made us feel totally at ease in front of the camera and captured amazing shots in a timely manner so that we weren’t away from guests for too long. We chose to have a couple photo shoot before the ceremony and her radiant personality actually really helped to calm our nerves! The photos are beautiful and were sent to us very promptly. Claire was our photographer for our wedding and my wife and I would fully recommend her for anyone looking for a photographer. Throughout the whole process Claire is very organised, diligent and contactable. Prior to the wedding she set up an hour for my wife and me to meet in person to discuss the details and timings of our wedding and to get to know her better. During this session she was incredibly professional and personable. She came to the meeting with a list of questions and was fully engaged in ensuring she captured all our requirements during the wedding for group photos and could capture the key moments. In addition, prior to the meeting Claire had already performed some research and scouted the wedding location. She came up with a great suggestion for myself and my wife to go to St Luke’s gardens (place nearby) during the drinks reception to get some candid couple photos. Also prior to the wedding itself, Claire had already visited the wedding location (Chelsea Old Town Hall and the reception to ensure that she could find the best places for photos). All of this made us feel confident early on that she would be fantastic. During the wedding, Claire was incredibly friendly and personable. Even though our wedding had guests (relatives from China) who were unable to speak English, she was able to engage with them and throughout the whole process she helped us feel very natural and comfortable in front of a camera. When Claire left she also let us know the expected timeframe for our photos and absolutely delivered in providing us the pictures to download in a timely manner. Now down to the photos. Wow! The pictures speak for themselves as you can see on her website and Facebook page. The pictures that Claire takes are elegant, enchanting and look absolutely amazing and beautiful. If you are into natural photography which tells a story and you like the style of black and white mixed with colour photos then Claire is absolutely the person for you. We had the pleasure of having Claire as our wedding photographer in June 2018. We had a small family wedding and we weren't sure if we were going to have an official photographer, but after seeing Claire's work, we're so glad we did. I met Claire a few weeks before the big day and instantly warmed to her. I hadn't really thought about the types of pictures we wanted so didn't really have a brief for her. However, it turns out I didn't need to, she made lots of great suggestions on location and logistics, which were perfect. We received the final images a week or so after the wedding (which was way quicker than I expected) and we couldn't have been happier with them. Within seconds of first speaking with Claire, I knew I had found the right photographer to capture the brand images I was picturing for my new website! Claire instantly understood the style I was looking to achieve and even pulled together a collection of photo shoot ideas and potential local locations that matched my thoughts perfectly! Claire took the time to find a great location to take some head shots for me. Each spot was scoped out and tested and she waited till the coast was clear to make sure I didn't pull any embarrassed faces doing a photo shoot in a public place. It was perfect! Claire is a very special lady. We had taken NO family photos and wanted to get a few casual shots as a family of now 4. We wanted simple and natural photos - she delivered! Claire has done a wonderful job of capturing my children's personalities as they both are at this moment in their little lives. My daughter, Isla (just turned 4), has a wonderful personality, but you have to be lucky enough to know her before she shines her true self. From the album you can see how Claire has managed to capture both aspects of this....shy to start with, being stubborn and determined and then onto having a brilliant time and becoming completely oblivious to a camera being present (that's down to Claire's very subtle approach)! Despite the different aspects of Islas personality, nothing stops her from totally adoring her little brother. This is captured too, which I absolutely love. The 'little brother', Henry, is an adorable 4 month old who enjoys watching everything and melts your heart with a gorgeous smile a a flicker of his long eyelashes. These photos will be looked back on in years to come and will be able to tell us exactly at what stage of their little personalities they were at....nothing staged....just completely natural. I loved working with Claire to capture some images to use on my website and on social media. From the very brief note I sent her on what I wanted to use the images for and a couple of examples of things I liked, she came prepared with a comprehensive list of shots and lots of creative ideas. She was relaxed and open to working through ideas together, whilst bringing a strong view on what would work and ensuring she captured everything needed in the time we had. She was particularly fab at putting me at ease when taking some head shots - something I wasn't looking forward to! I was thrilled with the results, which she turned around super quick - sending me a little taster image within a few hours so I could see how they looked.
