Ami & Chris both made everyone at the wedding feel very comfortable. We were so happy with the services from them both from start to finish of our special day, even the meetings we had before. Massive thank you to Chris & Ami for their amazing photography to capture our special day, we have just received our photo album from the day and it's absolutely stunning.

Chris was an absolute lifesaver before the wedding and on the day, really going out of his way to help us plan the whole day and giving us directions as to how the day would go.

On the day he couldn't have been more helpful, running between places while we got ready and helping to make sure everybody was where they needed to be to make our day (almost) stress free.

The photos are really of the highest quality and it's clear that Chris and Ami care so much about what they do, I would highly recommend them to anyone who is getting married and we can't thank them enough for giving us such fantastic memories of our big day.

We became Mr and Mrs Hummerstone on the 13th of June 2015, this is our photography story..

I came across Chris and Amy during a wedding fayre in Portsmouth’s Guild Hall about 7 or 8 months before our big day. I wasn’t keen on Wedding Fayre but my Bridesmaid dragged me to this one! Walking around the room we were bombarded with different styles of services you’d need for your special day. Unknowing to myself, the cost for such services were quickly jumping into the thousands before we’d even made it a third of a way round the room!

I had a number of conversations with talented and established photographers who came from all over Hampshire, but they just weren’t ticking all the boxes for me. Myself and tom are not ones for staged, cheesy photos, so a wedding with all eyes on us was slightly daunting. I was instantly drawn to their stall, at first not for the photos but for their fun and very popular photo booth! Chris and Amy are a married couple so instantly put me at ease, as felt like I was speaking to a friend straight away opposed to a business partnership.

They did not push offers or prices in our face, they let us have a play in the booth (which comes with different backdrops from all over the world, props and an outer cover for the booth of a VW Camper which is great for barn/rustic style weddings!) and when we were ready took the time to speak one on one with us despite the growing que for their stand.

After a hungover phone call to my Husband to be at the time, I was set straight away of Chris and Amy joining us on our big day and booked them whilst there was still the chance, dates were going fast! Their prices were and still are incredibly reasonable for the outstanding levels of service we received from start to finish!

They made the time to meet with us round our house a couple of times before the big day, showing us in more detail Chris’s portfolio and style. Making sure he knew exactly what we wanted from our photography, the style of our wedding and got to know our nearest and dearest to make sure he included these people most on the day. They both took a trip up to the venue we had chosen and the day before the wedding to make sure everything was set and he knew the grounds of the venue to where the photography magic would take place!

The morning of the wedding Chris and Amy were with us at the crack of dawn to take in our over excited/very nervous/slightly hungover/makeup free faces (but still managed to make us look beautiful regardless of the clash of emotions we were all going through!) The major part for me was to be able to enjoy these intimate times with my family and bridesmaid without feeling uncomfortable having a stranger up close and personal the morning of. However! Chris and Amy had already felt like friends to us, so the whole day was full of relaxed giggles and laughs and Tom’s sign of friendship – offering alcoholic drinks as soon as they step through our front door!

During the ceremony and evening, Chris as undetected so managed to capture the relaxed style we wanted from the day, and grabbed myself and Tom when needed to make sure we one, had photos together, but two, also gave us a window of time to recuperate as newly husband and wife without the crowds of people! He captured moments with Tom and his friends we never usually capture as we are not photo savvy during events. So for me, I have wonderful photos of Tom I can cherish forever (ones that don’t involve a blurred effect from trying to stretch my arm for a group photo – as I refuse to use a selfie stick!)

Amy on the other hand gracefully manned the photo booth during the evening and handled our wonderfully drunken rabble really well, making sure our guest book was signed and full of photos! (And managed to limit the naughty pictures being drawn in it as the night and drink developed) She also worked alongside Chris with his photography making sure my dress/vile/hair etc was perfect! Without her, I would of looked wind swept! And not in a good way!

I could go on and on about the incredible passion and talent Chris and Amy bring to their business, but my review is already turning into a short story! Myself and Thomas are 100% over the moon with our decision to pick them to capture our most special day and would 100% recommend them to close friends, family, colleagues and strangers!! This was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. Chris is an amazing photographer and Ami’s support is invaluable, they work together seamlessly. We really could not have asked for better people and photographers to be a part of our special day. This is not just a job to them it really is a passion. They are dedicated to you from start to finish and we would like to thank them for the extra time they had committed to our wedding. Not only did they come to our home to discuss the initial booking, meet us at the venue before the wedding day, turned up at the crack of dawn on the wedding day, travelled between 3 venues in the morning to get photos of the bridal party, but stayed with us for the whole day and night, truly and utterly committed to the job, we cannot praise you enough. You really are both the best and we appreciated all your time and effort and support you gave us both. Having now spoken to guests at the wedding it’s amazing how many people commented on how brilliant they were. They feel like part of your day as your friends and are so much fun to work with, as well as being very professional. Chris has some lovely photo ideas and will always use your venue to its full potential. We also used their photobooth in the evening which is the best one we have seen; it was a great hit especially with the kids and has given us some extra really fun photos to remember the day by. We cannot wait to see the photos going by the few that our on the blog. The photo albums they offer are the best we have seen and this was so important to us as we want to treasure these forever.
