We tried CJ's for the first time tonight !!! I can't believe we haven't been in before now ! This place must be Emmaus' best kept secret ! People... all I can say is GO !!! Food was excellent !!! OMG!!! I am so glad i came. I LOVE to eat and I love to dine. I dont do it as often as I would like to. But CJ's Cuisine was worth EVERY PENNY! !!Its been a while since Ive expedienced such a vast amount of flavors in one dish. My wife and I spent a good penny between drinks (natrual juice and an Arlold Palmer) appitizers, soup, salad, and dinner and tip. But I can truly say it was worth it. The soup held the flavor, the vegetables were crisp, (but not hard) and the steak was cooked to perfection (med-well) while containing ALL of the flavors.The roller coaster of flavors will have you on the floor! Mmmmmm mmm! Myyyy God!!! They have cheeper options during the week and a Sunday brunch. But I will be going back. If I can make any suggestions I would say to management to put out some coupons and let people know you are there. The food is so good there should be a line to get in! Wasn't sure what to expect since it reopened. Finally stopped in and was blown away! Skirt Steak with Scallops and side of Mofongo was better than most fancy steak houses I have been to. It was really Amazing! It is BYOB, but their Mango Juice is very good. Dump some Rum in it if that's your thing. But definitely try this place, and try the Mofongo, even if you dont know what it is, you wont be disappointed! More...

My first time eating at CJs. I was blown away how tasty the food is. I ordered shrimp mofongo for lunch. It was well seasoned. I taste the the onion, garlic, cilantro, parsley ,pepper, salt, adobo and cheese. Shrimp is plenty and succulent. Plaintain perfectly mashed and flavorful. Don't let the outside fool you, the inside is very nice! The menu is reasonable and price is also fair. The waitress we had was nice and greeted us warmly. The food is also very well portioned and overall it's decent. I got a cheeseburger and the only thing I could say was if they could add some sort of sauce or some pickles or something to keep it a bit more moist. CJ's is right down the street from my house. I have only eaten there twice but the owners and staff have always been very friendly, restaurant usually isn't busy, but food has been fresh and delicious. The shrimp mofongo special was great! Came with 10 large shrimp in a delicious sauce for only $8.99. Burger was fresh and on Mondays are only $5! You can't get close to that at McDonald's. Only suggestion is to I would love to see more of their Dominican specialities on the menu. More...

I love this restaurant,I have eaten here twice and each time I was very impressed, the first time I had skirt steak with scallops. .ooh my goodness slap your ma'am good!!! The steak was well seasoned and cooked just right oooh so tender it just melted in my mouth.The next time I had a bacon cheese burger this burger was cooked with so much love and the seasoning was so different from any burger I've had, my French fries was brought out hot and fresh lightly seasoned, I didn't have to add anything to them.
