I had a problem with my Fridge Freezer that needed urgent attention, after the usual ring around and being told the earliest someone could come out was in 5 days and a number of sites offering a no fix no fee option that actually cost more than a new fridge freezer I contacted Citycooling who offered a £45 call out and came out within hours, although they could not fix the appliance they helped me find a replacement online and even used their credit account with that company which reduced the cost of the new appliance enough to cover the cost of the call out. Leaving this review for an elderly friend of mine, who called Citycooling out to her machine, she has been very impressed with the level of service she was given as she rang several other company's to book and got no response, but Citycooling were thereto help they have been so friendly and helpful from the start. The Lady on the phone, Emma I think she said she was called was on the ball and very patient with my friend (she's a little hard if hearing) and is a bit slow on the phone and quite often you have to repeat yourself. The repair was completed at a reasonable price, my friend will definitely save there details in case she needs to use them again. Please read to the end.We are a Swiss-German couple who live in the Uk. We have had such exemplary service from any company anywhere. The Technician who called was polite, smart and above all, had a wealth of knowledge and experience. He quickly diagnosed the fault on my Maytag USA refrigerator. More to my surprise was that he had the exact factory parts on his van.The part was replaced and we were charged £135 in-total for the repair, including call-out, labour, VAT And a one year warranty.Annoyingly, I had paid two previous companies call-outs totalling £110. Only to be told they could not get the parts. Adding buy a new one. Pointing out, our apppiance cost £2,500 four years previously. Had to call an engineer as fridge freezer had stopped working; motor running but not cooling.His advise was: check the black dome at the bottom of the fridge at the back, if it's hot, turn it off for 12 hours, then turn it back on again. After calling several repair services I decided to use City Cooling Ltd as the lady on the phone was very helpful and I felt confident that my fridge freezer would be repaired if possible. I was nervous about possibly spending money on a repairman coming to look at my faulty fridge freezer and then having to replace it anyway. Delighted to say the repairman was thorough, did what looked like a very tricky job, friendly and kept explaining what he thought the fault might be. He was right, got my unit working and only charged me the call out fee. The only negative was the appointment slot was, originally between 12 - 8pm which is too much. Brilliant Service, turned up as agreed - repaired my Samsung SAME-DAY!!! Parts stocked on van and I paid by Credit Card. Wish I had waited for CITYCOOLING. Initially. Rang To book call with Citycooling On Monday, they were busy and could not call until Thursday so I rang around, 4 days later first other company failed to turn up, the other said "can't get parts for Samsung - best buy a new one".
