This place is such a gem. We have been many times and everything we have ever tasted has been phenomenal. Many of their pastas are made in house. They are also so accommodating with gluten free options, including dessert. You can't beat their week night three course special. It is obvious that the pasta here is homemade. All of us had some type of pasta dish and we loved all of them. The braised red in  red wine  sauce on my dish was excellent with big chunks of meat. We came here on a weekday and the food was outstanding! We had the fish special of the day, cinque salad, octopus,  and the frutti Di mare. It was happy hour so we lucked out as well. The ambiance is very nice and cozy. The staff were very knowledgeable and very prompt with everything. We also had the cheesecake and cannolis for dessert! Perfect ending to a great meal. We went on a Saturday night and there were only a few occupied tables.  We received good service.  I had the lasagna.  It was fresh and tasty. My friend had the chicken marsala. It is served with two chicken breasts topped with the and piled over homemade mashed potatoes. It is a large serving.  The meals do not come with soup or salad. They bring complimentary white sliced bread and foccacia bread. There is a small bowl of olive oil and balsamic vinegar for bread dipping. The chocolate kahlua dessert is homemade and delicious. 1st time going. Was a little skeptical of Latinos running an Italian restaurant.  One, I had an Italian Lemonade. They do not water down the drinks. I'd give this place a 3.5 stars if I could I didn't want to give it a 3 because I think this is a gem they just have a litttke work to do and we will try it out again. We came in on a Groupon for a bottle of wine and cheese appetizer around 4pm. The cheese was fresh mozzarella that melted in your mouth. The wine we chose was a moscato, this was refreshing and sweet. The owner came over to us , we were the only ones in the restaurant at the time they just opened up. We ordered the meatball appetizer, the sauce was good the meatball it self wasn't as great. We ordered the pear pasta on the recommendation from the owner, we don't eat shrimp and asked for it not to be there, but when the dish came out it wasn't what we ordered it had shrimp and mushrooms both which we told the owner we don't eat. That was kind of annoying because we were the only ones in. The pasta it self was pretty amazing, the flavors inside the pasta, I do wish the sauce was thicker it was a bit watered down but I would deff order the pasta again because of the flavor it self was really good. This is a wonderful restaurant!The ambiance is great, the people are fabulous and the food is fantastic! I have tried the burrata without speck - wow! !!I have had the pasta and short ribs - great. My husband ate the frute de mare - OMG!!!Everything was wonderful. Oh, I forgot the eggplant parm appetizer. This hidden gem located in Davie is amazing!!! Awesome Italian food at it's finest. All ingredients are freshly made. Homemade pasta makes such a difference when eating Italian food.  I had the Seafood Risotto which was amazing. All the seafood was fresh and cooked perfectly. This is our first time at Cinque Terre. This is not a huge place with about 70+ seats capacity. We were seated immediately. The décor is trendy and modern. Breads were served as soon we sit! Loved that focaccia that tasted almost like corn bread. The Octopus appetizer was recommended but we opted for the Grandma's meat balls. So, we have Grandma's meat balls, Caesar salad and House salad as appetizer. The meat balls were nice in that Pomodoro Sauce and not overly covered with sauce while the salads were refreshing! Wife ordered Chicken Marsala. Two large chicken breasts with a nice reduction of Marsala wine sauce on top of roasted garlic mashed potato made you salivating while enjoying our meal. We have two orders of Frutti De Mare and a grilled Salmon. The Frutti Di Mare just have the right amount of pasta. The calamari were tender and blended well with mussels, clams and shrimps. Added a little herbs and tomato sauce and we can have this every night! They grilled the salmon to perfection! To round off our dinner, we have mini Canoli and chocolate cake. Absolutely love this place.   It was a last minute decision on a Friday to check this place out. Walked in and was immediately seated. The entire staff was very nice and informative of the chefs specials.   We ended up having the 'chefs special Beef tortellini' and the 'Provolone pear tortellini'. Such amazing food at this lesser-known Italian Place.I never heard of them, nor has anyone in my fam. I've never seen them advertised besides on Groupon. I'm so glad they did because that's how I found them, and I'm now hooked!From the moment you walk in you get an immediate sense of their fine decor. It's not over the top, but every little thing adds up to a gorgeous setting. They're spotless and modern!Their menu is pretty vast and has something for everyone. Meats, chicken, fish, you name it. They have a huge pasta selection but don't let that give the impression they're all similar! We ordered 2 pasta dishes to share and they were completely different. Although I don't recall the names, the most amazing dish ever was the one with pear-stuffed pasta. (Top of the menu, and another yelper susu Love S. Also has a pic but not a name). I regret not taking menu photos. It's so sweet and a litte tart, it's almost like dessert pasta but not overbearing. I come from a fairly Italian part of the country, and let me tell you - this place knows Italian! The pasta is all homemade, the sauces delicious and definitely a place to enjoy a romantic evening. We started with an order of bruschetta and an order of grandmas meatballs - both great! We then had chicken alfredo and squid ink shrimp alfredo - both sauces were light and neither had too much butter or fat. The pasta was perfectly cooked, giving a good bite yet tender. The desserts were also TO DIE FOR. Mini canolis and their dessert special of "chocolate salami" were fantastic!Our only qualm, was the service. The restaurant was far less than half full, but our waitress was not attentive to us. With less than 5 minutes left in happy hour (and over half an hour since we had been checked on), I walked to the bar to make sure our wine glasses would be filled again. This amazing restaurant serves the best octopus I have ever had. The rigatoni short ribs were also fantastic. With there lovely Decour and relaxing ambience I would highly recommend this restaurant for lunch or dinner any day of the week.

This is my favorite restaurant in Davie. Their freshly made pasta reminds me of my trip to Italy and the amazing food I ate there. They also have excellent wine pairings and selections that can't easily be found in stores. The owner and staff are friendly and work hard to make sure your dining experience is phenomenal. It is a little bit expensive but you get the quality you pay for. Please skip over Olive Garden and Carrabbas for some authentic Italian food. Their best appetizer is the octopus. Everytime i return i am pleased. Daniel is the very best!  Always the best suggestions for wines.Gavi de Gavi.. (Or a name very similar to this) is a full bodied crisp white wine was fabulous. And i am typically a red wine drinker.I had the fish for dinner with spinach , etc and it was wonderful.  Great portions for a very reasonable price.  Enjoyed it for dinner the next day and it waa just as good. Never rushed service... Always great for conversation and having a relaxed dining experience. First time at this place. I had a Groupon but let it expire. I ended up not using the value towards the meal because I used their Yelp check in offer of a free Sangria carafe (was delicious! ) The ambiance is lovely. You walk in and feel warmth and comfort. The service was also excellent. The food came out quickly and was delicious. I had the short ribs with gluten free penne pasta. They have some gluten free options. The only thing was I felt it could've had more meat. The meat was sparse. My companion had the skirt steak with mashed potatoes and liked it. I'd go again just to try the skirt steak and the lemon chicken looked good too. It wasn't that crowded (6:00) but the other patrons seemed to be enjoying their food (no leftovers at the table next to us!) I realized tonight that I hadn't updated my review for this gem in a while! :) I still can't believe it has been almost four years since I first reviewed Cinque Terre. I have been here quite a few times since my first review, and I can say without hesitation that I have never received anything short of excellent service and fantastic food!Last night I came here with a girlfriend for a leisurely dinner, and their three course meal really hit the spot. This was my first time having the lasagna, and I think that it will become something I order on the regular from here! I couldn't get over the serving size, and it was SO GOOD! :) I mean for a price you pay at Olive Garden you are getting three courses of fresh homemade Italian food with exceptional service.If you haven't checked out Cinque Terre I highly recommend you give it a try. I don't do the Italian fare too often, but when I do... Ok that joke is old! We came to Cinque Terre because I had an offer to use (not ashamed) I would have never found this place otherwise. And I must say that I am pleasantly surprised. Came in on a Sunday at six-ish and there was quite a few people.We were seated right away and were brought bread. Loved the foccachia that was a little reminiscent of corn bread.  They have a really nice cocktail menu. I had one called Vacation in your Mouth. It was just that. Very good and great presentation. Hubby had a mojito and it was an actual, honest to goodness mojito. Not made with a mix. The menu is typical Italian fare. I got Chicken Marsala. It was very good! Ot came with mashed potatoes and those were so creamy. I also ordered a side of balsamic tomatoes. They were sliced. I prefer them diced, but that is just personal preference. There are few independently owned restaurants in Davie.  Thank the lord for  Cinque Terre!  It is so good in every way!  Cozy, warm and most importantly- delicious!  The dining room is lit nicely, they play great music, it's intimate and spacious at the same time.  Whenever we go (OFTEN) I try to get the fish (special) which is always TO DIE FOR.   Tonight I had a snapper filet, seasoned with curry over a bed of white beans, zucchini, potato and asparagus.  It was so damn good.. hubby had short rib rigatoni.  This is always a great dish, especially when you want a hearty, stick to your ribs meal.  Also the chef is incredible. Everything is fresh, everything is literally delicious. The owners are wonderful- Luisa always takes time to greet you AND she remembers you!  Daniel (the artist behind the gorgeous chalk drawings gracing the walls) gives the the best advice as far as specials and wine.  They circulate the dining room, chatting without being obtrusive.  It makes you feel like you're home and this world is not all a matter of money and numbers. I feel it's important to support the small places, where food is love and the people involved put their hearts in what they do.  But I support this place because it is great! Love this charming restaurant! Personally decorated, clean bathroom, efficient layout, good seating and use of space, and has that privately owned non-corporate feel to it. The waiter we usually have is extremely friendly and chatty with guests.  This restaurant has the best chicken alfredo and pesto sauce I've ever had. They're both made in house.  The alfredo isn't heavy or greasy, it's light and creamy and somehow I can eat it and not hate myself after.
