I am a fairly experienced gardener but spending months away from it meant it was in need of a revamp. Hard work was involved, rooting out an old Wisteria and some other no longer needed shrubs. Hannah has been willing and hard working, she is enthusiastic and knowledgeable. What do you love most about your job?
Using my knowledge, passion and creativity to bring my clients' dream gardens to life.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I have always been a keen gardener, with an interest in horticulture and a creative mind. Friends, family and neighbours often asked for my help with their gardens. This led to them to recommend me to their contacts, which started to fill up my spare time. As I enjoyed gardening so much, I decided to enroll on the RHS 2 course in garden design and also got involved in a local urban gardening project in London. When I took redundancy from my job in IT, I took on a few gardening jobs. Clients started to recommend me on Facebook and I soon found my weeks were filled working for regular clients. When I moved to Hove, I decided to start my own business, Churchman's of Hove.

I use my plant knowledge, skill and creativity to design and maintain any outdoor space (big and small), from flower beds & hedgerows to pots & patios; with selective planting tailored to suit the space. I have worked with some of the best professionals in horticulture. I am friendly, reliable, thorough and hard working.
