My 7yr old is currently being assessed for ADHD and we joined spirit hoping to find somewhere to develop his focus and concentration and also let him get out some of his energy, I must say spirit has been absolutely fantastic for him and the instructors both always go above and beyond for him even when his concentration isn't the best! My son has been learning martial arts at Chuldow Morley since he was 11, first for Taekwon-Do, which he is now a Black Belt in, and now Kickboxing as well. My son joined Chuldow Morley Junior Dragons in November 2018. I wanted the class to encourage him to get involved, gain more confidence but also to help him balance and fitness. He has come along way which is down to the help, support and encouragement from the instructors. William started the class as a shy boy who didn’t engage in conversation. Now I feel he is much more confident and gets himself involved. He isn’t afraid to engage in conversation with other children and instructors. I find the instructors to be impeccable with their skills, explanation and support of the children. Mrs East is very professional and expects high standards. This gives the children a respect for the instructors, other children but also for the discipline they are learning. William’s interest has not faded over the months. He has more interest, passion and drive to get as far as he can. William now wants to become a black belt in karate. I could not recommend Chuldow junior dragons enough but especially Morley. Was looking for something for my 4 year old to take part in and learn other than computers or gaming. This place is ideal for all ages along with learning stranger danger he interacts whilst learning out of school. He really cant wait to return next week. My son has been going to this club for over 10 years. He has always enjoyed going, if he didn’t, we wouldn’t have been coming so long! There have been a few different instructors during this time, but I can honestly say that since Mr & Mrs East took over, it has improved dramatically. They are clearly passionate about Chuldow Morley, which can be seen in the effort they have put in. Getting a purpose built location, rather than the church hall, putting on extra classes, and the support they give the students. My son even asked if he could volunteer, so he could pay this forward. DON’T GO!The service I received here was absolutely disgusting, spent a lot of money and was promised quite a few things coming from another club/ academy. Firstly, I was promised I wouldn’t have to pay for my black belt which I was at the level of. Secondly, paid to do CIT which was a waste of time, didn’t learn anything and got bullied out of. Thirdly, the Chief Instructor took the mick out of me because I struggled to do things in which at times she actually physically assaulted me by slapping me at the back of the head. Fourthly, no one ever learns self defence here, mostly a robotic same drills in and out of the academy for students to pass to their next belt, which you can get told you won’t get it on the day. Next some CIT members get paid while others work voluntary. The CI members would talk nasty about the children there. Also, they review 5* of their own academies to make out it’s a good place to go and to make people think it’s great so they can gain profits. More...

I train here along with my wife and son. We all love it. The instructors are great with the kids and get the balance of fun and discipline spot on.
