Chrys is awesome! She did hair and make-up for my wedding, me and my three bridesmaids. I’m totally out of my comfort zone with make-up, but from the moment I met Chrys for the trial I was much more relaxed with her warm and bubbly personality (and the excellent cup of tea). I had no idea about what I wanted except some sparkle and she seemed know exactly what I wanted. It was very natural, but beautiful. I was speechless after looking in the mirror. The girls’ make-up was done to compliment them and they were all very excited with the false lashes that they loved. Chrys is so much more than just a make-up artist. Not only did an amazing job on all our hair and makeup, she was very accommodating with me going out for parkrun that morning, keeping a track of time, keeping us calm and getting everything done on a very tight schedule. There is simply no-one like Chrys Chapman. As a bride I cannot tell you how important it is for someone to just understand what you have in mind and do everything they can to help guide you in the right direction to achieve it. Chrys will never try and make you have something you don't need but she will equally gently guide you away from anything which may not suit you. She LISTENS. And that may not sound like a revelation but it is and do you know why? Because Chrys genuinely cares. I honestly believe she makes every one of her brides and their tribe her friends for life because she is so great you don't want to lose her when the wedding is over. She wants to make you look and feel like the best version of yourself on your day. Not turn you into something you’re not. Chrys is all about complementing you, not changing you and that is what sets her apart from every other hair and make-up artist. As if that wasn't enough, she is a one man shop! She can do almost any beauty treatment you like, she can do almost any style you like, she gives make-up lessons, she gives skin care regime advice, she does parties and if she hasn't done it before but you want it she is always open to ideas. Chrys did make up, hair and a few beauty treatments for my wedding. She is just fabulous! Such a warm, smiley and friendly person, you feel at ease straight away. The trial was brilliant and she captured exactly what I was looking for. On the day she was wonderful to have around, I was an emotional wreck and she persevered with my makeup and I felt fabulous. Chrys is literally a miracle worker! I had my make up done this weekend for a wedding as i was a bridesmaid and she completely transformed my face! I was feeling really insecure about the way I would look due to medical reasons, but this soon dissappeared once I saw the end result! I've never had such beautiful make up and felt so good about the way I look (if anyone knows me thats something I would NEVER say) the make up lasted from 11am to 2am! I have now seen Chrys for makeup and for personal care, which was a much needed massage. Wow, she knows her stuff but delivers it in an empathetic and caring way. I love that she is about more than just the 'beauty' it is a holistic way to look at the client, as it is not all about the make up, although I felt darn fab once it had been done! I've known Chrys a number of years now so I've gone to her for a number of things in the past, make up, massage, spray tans.
Chrys makes you feel comfortable as soon as you meet her. She's so warm and friendly and makes you feel at ease & I always have confidence that she knows what she's doing & will work her magic.
Chrys did a spray tan for me a few weeks back & after not having one for a while I was a little worried however she assured me she'd use the lighter shade. She was right, I loved it and possibly would have gone darker.
Since then I've had my make up. Mainly for fun but I realised there's so much I'm never sure about applying. The make up she did for me was great, not colours I would have considered or even been able to apply myself. I loved it and felt great wearing it.
This morning I also went to Chrys for some tips on a few items of make up I needed. Having done my make up a few times and knowing i was looking for a natural look she pointed me in the right direction of what to try. I didn't get all the items but the ones I got I'm really happy with and have given me the look for every day I'm looking for. Next on my list is to get booked in for a lesson. I'm really looking forward to experimenting and playing around with more than what I do at the moment as I tend to play it safe. Thanks Chrys xxx

What do you love most about your job?
I love empowering my clients by discovering the feeling of beauty. Whether its helping a bride feel her most beautiful on her wedding day, giving a busy mum an instant- boost with a spray tan or reminding someone to take a few moments in their week for self-care with a massage and a manicure.
I love the beauty IS therapy and that my clients allow me the privilege to be with them in some of their most intimate moments.
