I had the most brilliant time with Gabi, who is an extraordinarily good judge of colour as well as a lovely person. I was with her for hours, and the time whizzed by as it was all so much fun. I could not have wished for a better draping experience: not only do I now know for sure which season is mine, but I also know exactly where within that season my particular colouring falls, which explains why I can only wear some of the lipsticks other BW people wear, and a hundred other details like this.

Gabi made sure I understood every part of the draping and, although I began by making snap judgements based on my previous feelings about colours, it was magical to see with her how the contrasting drapes revealed better or worse options, narrowing down eventually to my two or three best seasons. Everything was compared with everything else and, even though I thought I knew a lot about colour analysis, I learnt a great deal throughout the time I was with Gabi. I was so surprised for instance that colours that are too soft for me can actually look 'too bright' near my face. The effects of the wrong colours tell you as much as the effects of the right ones and the whole process was fascinating. Despite my Summery appearance, I happen to be placed very centrally within my BW season, which is great to know in itself, but I also know that if I ever need to appear formidable and strict without losing myself completely, I can dip into True Winter.

I believe that we in the UK are so lucky to have Gabi here: she has an unimaginably nuanced eye for detail and is hugely talented at what she does and at communicating it. More...

I cannot speak highly enough of Gabi and her incredibly talented eye for colour. I had the most exciting experience watching her work her magic. It was, quite literally, like watching myself slowly come into focus as she methodically worked her way through the drapes in a standardised and logical manner, explaining and showing each step of the way what effects she was seeing in my face in reaction to each drape, and what clues that gave us about my colouring. The story unfolded before my eyes, as I watched the definition snap into place on my face, the skin clear, the eyes deepen and brighten. It has to be seen to be believed, and for me I am convinced it will be nothing short of life-changing. I am thrilled with my bright winter colours. I think this is about so much more than finding your best colours. It is about finding, acknowledging and accepting the truth about yourself. My mind is still spinning from my session with Gabi. I learned so much in four hours with her and it changed the way I thought about how colours work together and how they look on me. I was so impressed with her eye for colour - I wish I had it - and she took a systematic approach to finding the right colours for me: Bright Winter. It will take me a long time to put all that I learned into practice, and I think that's a good thing as it shows the depth of the whole process. Gabi has a natural talent for colour analysis, and is very detailed. She was passionate about finding where I sat in the colour wheel and went the extra mile to seek the truth. Gabi is not only funny, accommodating and welcoming, she is extremely meticulous and precise in seeing / understanding how colours work with each person and why. I enjoyed every minute of my appointment. I previously knew certain colours weren't great, but being a self confessed colour geek :) I wanted to know why, and see the results with my own eyes. The process is both fun and enlightening! There is nothing Gabi can't answer. Her knowledge and understanding of colour is on a whole different level! Gabi is a skilled teacher and is passionate about empowering others with her expertise. I left having being taught how to refine my eye and with a lifetime worth of knowledge. This is invaluable. Suddenly I can scan over websites and see what is most likely to work. I went lipstick shopping and for the first time ever, found some that worked! Everything I pick up just 'harmonises.' Recently had an amazing session with Gabi. She is incredibly thorough and understanding and we went through all the colours meticulously. I had previously been draped as a light summer but had felt it wasn't quite right particularly when it came to wearing too many light colours together and the make up was off. Gabi helped me see that bright winter was so right for me and how much I needed those brighter colours, which when I think about it, were the ones that people always complimented me on. After going through all the drapes, we then looked at hair, jewellery, glasses and make up and I am so pleased with the results. I had a Colour Analysis with Gabi and was absolutely blown away by the impact of the various palettes on my skin. I already work with Colour Energies and how having certain colours in your environment can be useful, and had the view that all colours are relevant and useful based on your mood. I was curious about my colour palette but didn't intend to make any changes to my wardrobe. However, as Gabi said, once you see the impact certain colours have under the natural daylight bulbs, you can't 'un-see' it!! Gabi has a natural, confident style with her work that made me feel at ease, and her feedback is always guidance and one of inclusion, so I didn't feel like something was being 'done' to me. Gabi was also very chilled about how I wanted to take away the information and use it in my own world on my terms. After the session, I immediately noticed the clothes and accessories in my wardrobe that support my Bright Winter palette and started reaching for those...some of which I have never worn! It's automatic and fun and refreshing!Even if you think you know how to dress for your shape, what suits you and what your style is (like me!!), I would still recommend having a consultation with Gabi, as it helps you see your world in a completely different way....loved it!! Chromology is a thing - who knew? Well, I didn't but I do now. I rather skeptically took an appointment after a referral from a friend, as I wanted to bolster my person appeal/brand and buying confidence (Yes I hate shopping). Boy the appointment was so much more than that!! As someone who pretty much only wore black and couldn't see me in anything much more vibrant, I was very surprised to see what the colour pallet of garments actually did for me.So I have to tell you, not only have I now an array of colour in my wardrobe, but I can actually feel different wearing those colours and that means more confidence and sometimes even a little more cheeky.The session I went to, was lovely. Gabriella was so accommodating and explained everything she was preparing and some of the reasoning behind it. There are things you'd never have thought about the aesthetic output of you as a person, that can be built in with a little thought. The tones and how that enhanced personal features become really obvious.This was a great way to spend some time reflecting and thus, considering what to buy and what that might give off. Gabriella really understands her craft and brings so much knowledge to the table, and you kinda feel you understand yourself a little better. This is a break from the norm for me, but a lovely way to slow the pace down and bring a little colour into your day and in the end a lot more and a lot longer. I drive clients to and from the station for Chromology and I used to find it unbelievable how over the moon every single person seems after their colour consultation. The more clients I chauffeured the more curious I became, and so eventually both me and my girlfriend booked in.
