Loved this place! Went with a group of friends, very accommodating for a large party. The service was incredible, everyone made us feel like we were their most important customer. And the food.. The FOOD! The fish was fresh and our server gave us great recommendations on sushi and sashimi and his recommendations were on point. We each order 2 or 3 rolls and a couple plates of sashimi and there was not a piece that I didn't love! A good variety of different roll styles for different preferences (spicy, sweet, crunchy, etc.. Some sushi places seem to have nothing but spicy rolls) While we were there, a group of people was taking pictures with the sushi chef. Our server told us that the chef used to have a sushi restaurant in Houston before he moved to Utah and the group was visiting from Houston and sought out his restaurant because they love his food so much. I can see why. I highly recommend ordering the Best in the Box. It's a mystery roll of sushi that is served in a smoking wooden box. I can't wait to return to this place. More...

Service was prompt and friendly. Food was amazing! We shared the Pop Pop, UK roll, Miso rib noodles, Hot Mama roll, and what ever their surprise box was. Every single thing was sooo good. Can’t wait to try more from their large menu. The quality of fish was quite good as well. Very hard to pick a favorite since everything was so good but I would go with the Miso Rib Noodles. I LOVED this place! I can't believe it took me so long to try it out, but I'll definitely go again soon and recommend it to others. Long was so nice, helpful and funny. The monthly special of Miso soup was to die for - they need to make that a regular on the menu! I try out restaurants and am (mostly) satisfied afterwards, and it's normally one and done. This is a great place for sushi / sashimi. Tall is part owner with his Uncle in those business and the staff is so knowledgeable and experience in thier cuisine and art. I went to the sushi bar and requested that the chef only make what he felt like making. The sushi chef was absolutely amazing. He was very kind and knowledgeable. He told me about each dish, what was in it, and even told me where each fish came from. Its pricey but it is worth it for fresh quality fish. We just ate another excellent meal at Chopfuku.Spanish mackerel sushimi that was flow in hours earlier was incredible. We tried the tom yum soup and were pleasantly surprised by the freshness of the veggies and calamari The manager and staff are so gracious - we love this place more everytime we go there.

Just came in from Sarasota FL and my hotel was nearby.   Read some of the reviews and decided to try this place.  Wow it was indeed amazing.  Had the Sea Bass Special & the Salmon special.  Everything was so good.  Sat up at the bar and talked to the guys and owner.  They were patient and took the time to talk to me about all the fresh fish they got in today.  It was worth the trip and I cannot wait to go back again! I'm so impressed with the food and customer service here. Our waitress Audrey was so sweet and attentive, but we also had the chef and other staff stop by our table to check on us. We loved the Hot Mama roll, the Pop Pop, and the fried ice cream. The surprise sushi you can get in a box was also so fun. I've never seen that before! This is by far the best sushi place I've found in the salt lake area. We've been coming here for a while and it really never disappoints us. The sashimi is fantastic and the rolls are amazing. The best of the box special roll is definitely worth the extra price and theatrics; we get it every single time!!! Such fresh and high quality seafood. The fried rice is also delicious!
