My husband recently hosted a birthday party and hired Chilitos. The process was easy, Al and his staff were so professional and responsive, they took care of everything food related! My husband didn’t have to worry about it at all! They arrived on time, set up food tables, served, then broke it down and wrapped up! We had our Chamber Ribbon cutting today at the Esperanza Community and I was pleasantly surprised by this catering company. I was told we'd have street tacos, tamales, beans and cilantro lime rice. Okkkkkkk... not a fan of cilantro. Nope, never, hate it.Well I'm here to say, pour some yummy beans over that cilantro rice and have a feast. As sensitive as I am to cilantro, I couldn't even taste it-winner, winner, tamale,(very good) and cilantro(WHAAAAAT?) lime rice dinner!We will see you again Chilito's- I sure wish you had a food truck you could park at Esperanza! Al Maldonado and Chilito’s Express catered my son and daughter-on-law’s rehearsal dinner this past weekend in Boerne! We couldn’t be more pleased with their customer service and the awesome Latin fusion food they made for us! We ordered the “1 El Popular”. The street tacos, gourmet tamales and Cilantro Lime Rice were phenomenal, and Chilito’s Kika sauces are pretty spectacular (Best part is you can get them at H-E-B and enjoy them at home too!) I used Chilito's as my caterer for a baby shower I gave yesterday at my home. Carlos arrived and after we decided the best location to set up the buffet station, he got to work! He was up and ready, on time, and the presentation looked great!! My guests were very impressed! Carlos even had a griddle set up to warm the tortillas as we came through the line. He was so friendly and chatted with all of my guests as he filled their plates. The FOOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WOW! Most of our guests were not local and they were RAVING about the food. I ordered the El Popular and boy, is it aptly named! We had steak and chicken street tacos, all flavors of tamales (cream cheese jalapeno are my FAVE), rice, beans, guacamole cilantro, onions, chips and the FAMOUS Kika's sauce! People were going back for seconds and THIRDS! I was so excited that we had some leftovers, which Carlos packed up nicely for me! I HIGHLY recommend Chilito's for your next event or just dinner!!! Al and his wife catered our son and daughter in law’s rehearsal dinner and the food was absolutely delicious. They were very accommodating and went out of their way to make chicken and cheese Mexican enchiladas, food not normally in their menu. My only complaint is ordering and picking up the tamales is a bit disorganized. The other day they had the new bacon popper tamales available. I bought a dozen and we were excited about trying them, only to open the bag (after we had gone out of town) only to find just plain pork tamales.
