Chicago Renovation & Development is the best I have ever worked with. They have handled multiple projects for me including renovation and flooding restoration. Chicago Renovation and Development exceeded our expectations. Although we had plans for our kitchen renovation, plans can always change due to your own tastes or unforeseen glitches in the art of the possible in your home. CRD always offered thoughtful, tasteful and pragmatic advice. They are meticulous, detail oriented craftsman. The final result exceeded our expectations (which were high). Really loved working with Brad. He brought some great ideas to the table on how we could improve the concept for our kitchen rehab.
We have a 118 year old row house in a historic neighborhood in Chicago, so we ran into more than our share of problems and surprises, but Brad and his crew were able to deal with them all.
All-in-all things finished pretty close to the deadline despite it being a completed in the middle of the polar vortex. He was very flexible as we had a few odd requests.
I will say that going into the negotiations of what your expectations and needs are for the project, you should ask lots of questions, even if you think you know quite a bit about home improvement. We had a couple of instances where we thought certain things were included in the original quote, but they weren't. An example of that would be; we were getting new hardwood floors, but our sub flooring needed to be replaced & there needed to be leveling done on some slanted floor joists.
Basically, inquire a lot about what surprises he thinks you might run into and work on getting that priced out before hand. I've yet to have a repair job on an old house that didn't go over the original cost because of necessary repairs found during the job.
Overall if I ever have a big job like completely redoing a kitchen I would call him back and surely recommend him to my friends.

I had them restore our house in preparation for putting it up for sale. They did some plumbing, painting, low voltage electrical, and flooring work that was reasonably priced and finished on time.
The tradesman were very professional and personable. They were careful in protecting the areas where they were not working and cleaned up afterward too.
They always got back too me on a timely basis and gave me straight answers. I would definitely recommend them for any serious work you need done from repairs to build out.

Brad has a great crew of workers and they are excellent craftsman. We renovated a laundry room and repaired some ice damming in my master bedroom. The laundry room was completely gutted, new floors, new insulation, new cabinets and counter top. The master bedroom was repaired and put back together exactly like it was before. His crew works hard, they move or cover anything that might be in the way, and they show up when they say they will. The supervisor Jerry checked the work every day and told me exactly what was happening. They gave me estimates and suggestions where to get material. More...

Great experience!
We did a gut rehab and we were referred to Chicago Renovation by a friend who has used them several times over the last 10-15 years.
We had a wonderful experience as the crews showed up every day and they were extremely professional and did quality work. The owner is very direct and lets you know what is going on whether you like it or not and resolves problems quickly. In spite of running into some major unforeseen issues, they were still able to complete the major renovation of our entire house without a major delay. This was our first experience, but we will use them again in the future.

I met with Brad to go over my master bathroom and felt comfortable from the start. He was great with answering my questions and actually give me a couple of options I never thought about.
The end result was AMAZING!! Jerry and his crew did such a great job and Brad was on site to ensure everything went as planned and stayed on budget (which was very fair).

Third time was just as great as the first and second times that I hired this company. I hired them for a total bathroom remodel, a complete family room remodel and the last time for a minor bedroom remodel. Every time the work has been done to my satisfaction and then some. Everyone from the owner, Brad, their foreman, Jerry, and all of their crew have been professional and courteous. The communication is great and the finished projects are beautiful.
