By far, the best bbq restaurant in southeast Connecticut. The sauces are amazing and tasty, along with the selection of meats and sides. The atmosphere gives the feeling of being in a southern BBQ joint and is clean as well as inviting. I lived in NC for almost 4 years and have never found more authentic BBQ outside of that state! We also tried the brisket, ribs, collard greens, slaw & baked beans. Everything was heavenly!

Staff was very nice and welcoming. I had only been there a few times cashier assisted me with what to order even helped me save money (always a plus) assisted me in choosing (gluten allergy) and also allowed me to get a drink instead of getting the cornbread due to my allergy (many restaurants would not have accommodated) People say it's too expensive but the portions are big enough for two meals and it tasted really good where I'll be looking forward to having them for left overs for lunch! Visiting CT from Scottsdale AZ and thought I would try out this BBQ spot. Everything was fresh, and savory. The brisket had a delicate smokey flavor and was fork tender, lean and cooked beautifully. Loved all the sides as well especially the chili. The service was friendly and prompt and the premises clean.I love the story of how this restaurant started and alway like to support a local family owned business.
