I recently used Cheshire Chef Services for an evening buffet at a surprise party to celebrate my wife's 40th birthday. The planning with Stephen from CCS began about 4 months in advance with several phone conversations, emails and a face to face meeting to talk about the specific details of the event. Stephens experience was evident from the outset and he put several ideas forward, not only for the food but also for the running if the event itself - all of which we took on board! Stephen made his own arrangements to visit the venue in advance to check out the kitchens that he and his team would be using, this is a great example of Stephens commitment to deliver an excellent service. On the night Stephen and his team certainly earned their money and worked tirelessly, the food was beautifully presented and maintained during the buffet service and the interaction with the guests was superb. During the event and in the days that followed everyone we spoke to commented on the excellent food and personal level of service, it certainly exceeded the 'norm' that people expect from evening buffets and I wouldn't hesitate in using Stephen again. When we decided to hold an eighteenth party in our home for our twin boys the biggest challenge was always going to be providing guests with a high quality of cuisine and service normally expected in a quality restaurant. Without doubt Stephen and his team from Cheshire Chef Services delivered above and beyond our wildest expectations and we continue to receive fantastic feedback from our guests many weeks on.
To be truthful this was the first time we had used the internet to source services and we were therefore a little anxious and suspicious as to what we would find. Whether we fell lucky or not we found the most amazing service who created a wave of quality throughout our day.
Stephen and his team were attentive to 80 plus guests throughout the day and made everybody feel welcome. The range and quality of cuisine and bar service was phenomenal and provided for everybody's personal taste from ages 18 -80.
What was most pleasing about the day and received the greatest feedback from our guests was the warmth and attentive nature of Stephen and his team, they were just amazing. From the initial visit to plan our boys day the team were responsive to our ideas but confident in encouraging new concepts in cuisine and cocktails. Stephen Callaghan was our main point of contact from the start, for our 18 person, at home dinner party. He brought different menu options and trial canapes, for us to consider, then 2 days before our party, he came along and 'dressed' the table. We didn't want it to look like a 'wedding' so he came up with the theme of black table cloth and the nice quality white dishes, silver service cutlery, 2 different sized wine and a water glass made it look very stylish and while we added our own table decoration, he can also do that too. On the night he brought our pre-ordered food choices along with Gavin - his principal chef and 2 front of house waitresses to serve pre-dinner drinks (which we supplied) and Stephen's fab canapes which went down very well. All food was cooked at our home and the quality and execution was timed to perfection. All dirty plates/cutlery were removed from the house same day and Stephen came back the next day to remove all dirty glassware (and there was a lot) and the linen. We would recommend Stephen and his team and will use them again I'm sure.

We used this service for a small hen party in a hired cottage. The food and service were fantastic, everything worked perfectly for our event thanks to the teams hard work and flexibility. Would recommend them to everyone!

Stephen answered swiftly and provided pro bono samples and tasters. The food is of very high standard and throws all other caterers in the region out of the game park. He takes an interest in the customer and tailors the menus around preferences without any fuss. I am delighted to have found Cheshire Chef and he is now our Corporate preferred catering partner. Stephen is a great guy; he was very professional and polite.
I met Stephen through bark, when I posted looking for a buffet supplier.
We had a chat about the requirement and he advised he would bring over a taster. I obviously took him up on the offer and once I tried the gourmet sandwiches that was it! we organised the buffet for our next meeting.

It was astonishing the amount and quality of food for the price. it was all plated, with cutlery and napkins and ready to present. He also left some extra chicken for our MD whom loves chicken! Which he enjoyed immensely.
It was that good that the external member of our meeting asked for the details of the supplier, so I told them about sandwich chef and gave them a leaflet with Stephen menu and contact details on.

So, to conclude I would very highly recommend sandwich chef for all your food needs.

Stephen catered our wedding reception buffet providing a gourmet service for 60 people. He was very professional in every way. On the night he was dressed in his chef whites and nothing was left to chance, he arranged all the food beautifully. The service and appearance were only surpassed by the food which was exceptional, consisting of exquisite canapés and gourmet sandwiches made with local ingredients. The price was very reasonable too. We would highly recommend Stephen at The Sandwich Chef for catering special events and I'm sure we will be calling on him in the future! More...
