Looks like, and feels like, a typical tourist trap, but the food and drink options are pretty good. Had the crabcake which was unexpectedly good (really enjoyed it). Klondike Kate's has been around for ever. I first visited KK's when I was a college student, and I finally returned as a family man and father of two boys. We came because they offer a kids eat free deal on Wednesday night, which included free face painting and balloon animals. There are about 6 options for kids (free meal with the purchase of an adult meal). It comes with a junior entree, side, and drink.My wife ordered a salmon salad. I ordered a small plate of loaded nachos that included chopped up chicken fingers, fries, and a load of other ingredients. I should not have ordered this, as it's more for sharing and I couldn't finish half of it. Rather, my recollection of KK's from my younger days included tasty jumbo buffalo wings. I should have gone this route, but there's always next Wednesday. Our check for a family of four ended up being $34. Not bad.They also brought out drinks in a nice KK's plastic tumbler. Took my mother here for her birthday and she was super impressed and happy. That right there was enough for me. The restaurant is beautiful. I loved the view of the water. It would have been a 5 star experience if we were seated by a window but was given a lame excuse about that portion of the dining room is closed only for another few groups come in and sit there. A few friends and I ate in the main dining room for dinner and were not disappointed. Our server Darrell, was extremely welcoming right off the bat. He made us feel right at home and answered any questions we had about the menu. The Chesapeake Inn sure outdid themselves for our big day! The staff was extremely professional, the food was amazing, and the views around the ballroom are beautiful! Eddie, was present the whole entire time and made sure everything ran so smoothly. Our wedding day was full of laughter and positive energy. The guest were raving about the location and food. All around it was just beautiful! I would highly recommend the Veranda for the cocktail hour, our guest loved being outside enjoying the views and boats! Where went here last night for my husbands 50th bday and had a fantastic time! We had a group of 9 for dinner and had family and friends show up after for more drinks and food. We were outside on the deck and JOEY was our server for the entire night. He went above and beyond to keep us happy and he sure did!!! The food was delicious as well as the drinks! There was a band and a dj that were very good as well!!! The only hiccup we had was a slight problem with the dinner reservation ( they didn't have us arriving until later.. but I had confirmed this with 2 people days before arriving and also had a text stating our reservation time....hence the four star rating. After waiting 20 minutes, we got to sit for dinner and it really was a fantastic night! More...

Had my baby shower here which is reasonable compared to other places. The upstairs room was a great size the staff was great from paper work to the day of the event. The food was great we got the slider and nacho station very filling and set up nicely. Main Street was not to congested and students were not everywhere. I CANNOT GET OVER THE AMOUNT OF PLASTIC THEY USE :( - cups, straws, to-go containers ALL plastic :/ considering they are right on the water I would hope they would be more environmentally conscious. It’s also frustrating that all of their drinks are already served with straws so it doesn’t give you the chance to opt out of using one. And every time you get a new drink they bring a new cup/straw. Really would love to see them switch to straws upon request or paper straws and paper to go boxes, as well as using the cups over again. Other than that great food, service, and vibe. More...
