Josh of Chem-Dry of Annapolis is a professional. I scheduled a Saturday cleaning seven weeks in advance, then called two weeks out to ensure we were on the calendar. I had not dealt with this company before, so was just doing my due diligence in ensuring the scheduled appointment. The evening prior to the scheduled appointment, Josh called to let us know one of his technicians was sick - and asked if it would be possible to move the cleaning to Sunday. Knowing they don't typically work on Sunday, I knew Josh would be taking time from his family to ensure his customer (me) was satisfied. Josh was on time, explained the process, answered questions, and worked quickly. The carpets look beautiful. The one major area of concern was a strong 'cat' smell on the landing to the basement steps (we assume the prior owners had a cat). That smell is gone. I called Chem-Dry after Stanley Steamer came to my home with 1) no tools, (asked to borrow mine) 2) no water (they did have a truck that had its own water, but that was an extra 50 bucks, and couldn't do the job the day is was scheduled,) 3) no connector to fit my sink (which they buggered the threads to trying to force the one they had onto it) and then said they wouldn't charge me since they couldn't do the work. Called Chem-Dry, that day, they couldn't clean my condo that day, but could early the day I had company coming and it would by dry by the time they arrived, the came, had water, cleaned my carpet, in and out in no time at all. DID A GREAT JOB on my carpet. Did the job for over a hundred dollars less than what Stanley steamer quoted and I'm telling everyone to use Chem-Dry. I got the master bedroom and a couch cleaned because of multiple pets taking their toll. The guy was super friendly and explained the service. He knew his stuff about carpet and different stains. I’m going to use this company for all future carpet and furniture cleanings. One funny thing he said as he was explaining how it’d take a few hours to dry is “our name is misleading because we don’t use chemicals and it’s not actually dry” :-) I found that hilarious. Josh and Doug are very conscientious and detail oriented when they come to clean my house. They specially treat the steps and dog areas so my carpet will look alive again. The solution gets the stains out and does not leave a soapy residue that most cleaners leave. It stays cleaner longer.They explain things I can do between visits to get up stains and dog pee areas. I had a really nasty grease stain (actually several as I tracked them all over my berber rug before I discovered the offending grease blob on the bottom of my shoe). I tried using the trusty cleaning agents I had on hand (Folex and home-brewed baking soda and vinegar mix) to no avail.I actually made the mess look a whole lot worse and was met with the hands on hips/death stare from my bride.Doug from Chem-Dry arrived on the scene and first went to work with a grease solvent they use. It reduced the staining somewhat but wasn't going far enough to release me from the dog house. He said he wasn't sure he could get it out if he brought the heavy duty equipment in ( I appreciated the candor). I was desperate so told him to hit it with everything he had. Sure enough, he knocked it out of the park. Stains gone and marriage restored!I largely chose Chem Dry Annapolis based on the positive reviews and they did not disappoint.I was also in the middle of trying to get a treadmill out of my basement and Doug lent some much needed muscle power to assist. Doug is so knowledgeable and provided excellent customer service. Very thorough! Our carpets are sparkling clean and smell great! He was also very honest in his quote. I wanted to clean a couch that I had upholstery cleaned a year ago but still looks dirty. He looked it over and said based on the fabric and the way the upholstery cleaning left water stains he couldn't gurantee the water stains wouldn't come back after he was done cleaning. Josh and Doug always amaze me with the stuff that we think is in our carpets permanently. But they get it out. We also have a dog (who make the occasional mistake) and they've never failed with that either. They are affordable, super responsive, and if you get the chance, purchase at least one of the cans of Spot Remover. I am adding another star after my carpet dries. Chem-Dry of Annapolis was suggested by Huffard animal hospital after our new puppy christened the brand new carpet. I called Josh on a Friday evening after 5 PM and he Seemed friendly and concerned when I told him the problem. I worked with Josh on two of my properties. He was on time for both appointments and did the job for the price he quoted me.
My carpets looked great and he was done in no time. The carpets dry pretty quickly when compared to regular steam cleaning.
Josh is also very friendly and professional.
