I booked this class for my 17 year old grandson's birthday who spent his spring break in Florida. Since he has an interest in cooking I thought he would enjoy it. And he did! Orlando loved the experience and wound up making the best marinade in class. Not bad for his first time. The chef was most helpful and taught him basic cooking skills. Also, the chef was knowledgeable and entertaining.I highly recommend this class if you are looking for a different, fun experience and basic cooking skills. More...

Rashaad gave us a great experience in his cooking studio that he carved out into a great industrial space with tons of room and equipment. I fully recommend booking through AirBnb, because you'll get the most bang for your buck that way. My girlfriend and I came here for our anniversary because it sounded like we'd get something more than the average cooking class, and boy was I right.Rashaad was one of the most personable guys I have ever met. He was easy to talk to and seemed genuinely interested in our lives. Through pure happenstance, we were the only two people there that night, so we got a great, up-close-and-personal cooking lesson that I haven't ever heard of before. He taught us about the right way to cut things and how to balance spices not just in each component of the dish, but how to play the components off each other. There was a portion were we watched him do his thing and got to taste it. Then, it was our turn. He set us free to play with the cuts, the amounts of what we wanted, the spice blending. We had a blast with Chef Rashaad. I have learned so much and I feel comfortable playing around with spices and seasonings. It was an amazing experience to share with my sister. I will definitely be coming back to Chef Nite I enjoyed myself a lot and cant wait to do it again!! On the pics below...we made shrimp (we made an amazing seasoning for this) with asparagus which was delicious and we also added onions & red pepper! My culinary journey began while I was young in my career (we’re talking about elevating ramen). Prior to that, 100% of my meals were cooked for me and it has been a progressive and laborious process; a nonstop charade of “learning”, trials and (endless!) errors - Cooking for myself is a necessity, otherwise I wouldn’t eat. However, I really enjoy cooking, though more often times I prefer something simple… Only that which I have time for at that given moment and that which provides enough sustenance to get through the day. I do the best that I can. This experience was no different. Working with Chef, I have learned new skills, flavors, and histories. And for that, I thank him. He is emphatic, charismatic, and fun. There is a common theme amongst the negative comments, but please disregard them. Some folks on the planet hardly eat at all, nevertheless under the most absurd and unimaginable conditions. We had a private sorority event at Chef Nite, and EVERY SINGLE PERSON had a blast. We all learned something new, and the food was great. We made a really good sauce for our salmon, that I would actually never think to make. SO EASY as well. The group loved learning new ways to cut and the tips and tricks Chef Rashaad provided. The entertainment to go along with the class was great. He played the music we wanted to hear, and the vibe throughout the kitchen was a perfect way to start our night. It was definitely a different experience than what I was use to going to previous cooking classes. I extremely enjoyed the conversation and way he presented the class.
The food was also delicious, enjoy the whole process. It was a tad hot in the beginning but nothing to crazy.
Also FYI because knowing before you attend the class would have been nice is that the Groupon isn’t the full price the Groupon only pays the entrance fee and when the class finishes you need to pay an extra 20 for the food including the 5 fee for reservation. All these reviews didn’t mention that I would have just like someone to mention it before class in case I didn’t come with my card.

I attended the Bake Shop night with my wife, the location is difficult to find, but it's empty and quiet with plenty of parking. The chef is fun and played music and made lots of jokes and encouraged everyone to drink and relax. The desserts we made were fun and delicious and chef Rashaad encouraged us to experiment with different flavors. I will definitely attend again. More...
