Our photographers were S2 Images. We would 100% recommend them, Duane and I are both photographers, so this was one part of the wedding we were dreading, we spent months looking for the right photographer. We finally came to a decision and then went to a friend’s wedding later that week, S2 images were their photographers and we were both blown away by how in sync they were. S2 images - what can we say!? We knew fairly early on in our wedding planning that we wanted two photographers on the day. We've had some unexpected bereavements in the family, and we don't see each other all that often being largely in different countries, so it was really important to us to capture as many memories as possible. S2 Images' creative style stood out to us during our research and we decided to approach them. Without question this was the best decision we made planning our wedding: Sonia and Simon are just incredible people. They are fun and professional (a rare combination!), so talented, and somehow manage to get these amazing shots without being intrusive. They are great to work with and really put us at ease in front of the camera, and the end result - a 15 minute slideshow set to music and over 600 photos - just blew us away.I am so, so pleased we picked these guys and I genuinely cannot recommend them highly enough. Went here for a work Christmas party in one of the function rooms. It was a big room with one permanent bar and one popup bar that was needed at peak times. Drinks prices were average, about the same as an upmarket pub.

There is enough staff which was a welcome sight for this many people. The food and service was great again considering the amount of people seated.

A large dance floor and band was put on which was great.

Overall a really good night out and would have no complaints if told next year's work party was here. More...

We visited The Chateau for lunch. The chateau itself is breathtaking, set back from the road amid vast acres of scenery. The grounds themselves are very picturesque with swans and other wildfowl wandering around.

Inside the chateau dining area is also magnificient if a little poorly lit due to the lack of windows. The food was presented well and went down a treat. What really stood out was that the service here was exceptional. One of our party is rather fussy and she made a number of requests for various extras.

We were served by a lady called Maxine, who despite being busy, went out of her way to accommodate my friends requests. Nothing was too much trouble and Maxine made us all feel valued and welcome. This put the icing on the cake and made our lunch extra special. More...

Absolutely fantastic stay at this hotel. From the greet at reception, to the standard and quality of the room, and very quiet at night so a good night's sleep, and top quality breakfast the following morning. A wonderful experience at the Hill Climb. Excellent surroundings and parking was very well laid out and marshalled. There was a very good selection of food outlets and all staff were very pleasant even in the extreme heat! The toilet facilities were very clean and welcoming! We stayed overnight on our wedding night. The exterior and interior of hotel is impressive, especially the staircase. We had a superior room and although pleasant and comfortable it was quite small. Overnight stay and conference the following day. The main building and grounds are beautiful and the staff at reception were very courteous. The room was basic but clean and functional however, it could use an update as it was quite dated. The meal in the restaurant was excellent however it did take a long time to arrive. Service was acceptable. Breakfast the following morning was understaffed. The buffet ran out of sausages and bacon and did not get refilled quickly. Food was good though. At the conference there were refreshment and lunch. Again the food and drink supplied were very nice but not enough staff resulted in huge queues. More...
