Chateau Del Mar

We went high end and rented the penthouse suite. Omg awesome!! Beautiful 3 bedroom, hot tub wet dry sauna and 3.5 baths (rooftop terrace pool bathroom) .
We booked through expedia and got a great deal bundled with flights. Our family of 5 was very comfortable. Beach is close but nowhere near what the all inclusive resorts beaches are like for clean and we stayed at pool and our private tub, sauna etc..

One thing was the hot water took forever to warm up perhaps due to height we were at. And the main bathroom never did get hot...only warm. Ensuite off master suite must have had it's own hot water as it warmed faster and was very nice and hot.

Freddy at front desk was awesome and super helpful with questions before arrival and when we inquired about excursions, shopping etc..

You'll need to buy your own consumables for kitchen.. Dish soap, salt, oil etc, but it was well stocked with appliances, etc... Microwave, big fridge/ freezer, Toaster , waffle iron, blender, big gas range and oven, lots of good plates and utensils, even a milkshake maker thingy. Bring or buy sealed containers or bags to store leftovers etc...

Great time and shopping for groceries right around corner at the bam market or super mercado at next block for fresh meat.
Highly recommend... Beautifully decorated with art etc... And though we didn't partake, sea pro divers is between beach and chateau.

Also at beach there is always someone (Carlos... Santana lol) willing to hook you up with "anything you need" Mary Jane, beer and souvenirs was mentioned as well as he hinted towards two chicas... Again didn't partake lol. More...

Rented an apartment here through airbnb. The place was nice, had soap/shampoo/conditioner/body lotion/hair dryer. Full kitchen, but no condiments, etc. . Salt and pepper shakers were there but empty. The place was nicely decorated, clean, and beds were comfortable. Super close to the beach, with a nice pool area too. Very cute place. Water heater was tiny though, so hot water runs out very fast, then a few minutes later there's hot water again, so had to shower in stages lol. Owner is very nice and lobby staff is very helpful :) More...

Really enjoyed my stay at the Chateau, the location was perfect, the rooms were really spacious, a real quiet place with its own pool and the beach is at walking distance. This place is good for couples as well as for a big family. More...
