Charlotte was an absolute star from start to end at our wedding - she was quick to communicate from the beginning and took lots of time to find out what we were looking for. On the day, she was absolutely fantastic! She played a huge part in helping everything run smoothly and was such fun to have around - she really added to everyone's experience. She was so adaptable when we had to move the ceremony from a bright and airy garden to a dark and close barn and took it all in our stride. She helped us adapt our timeline when the rain interrupted more of our original plans, and when we were taking photos of just us in the garden she made two very camera shy people feel very relaxed and comfortable so that we really enjoyed it. We had just the absolute best day ever and so many people commented on how great she was - she had such a knack of being involved and making people very comfortable whilst also capturing them genuinely enjoying themselves so that they almost didn't realise they were being photographed. Very good communication. We had to rearrange our date due to covid restrictions. We met up to talk through our ideas for the day. Charlotte understood our needs and also made helpful suggestions that we had not thought of. On the day, Charlotte created a slide show of our photos to enable us to show at our evening wedding party for all to see. This was extremely well received by everyone. During our day, it did not feel like we had a 'photographer' with us, more like someone we had known for a long time. This is due to her personable friendly approach which made everybody feel at ease. Charlotte was initially supposed to capture our special day in 2020 which turned out to be a couple days before lockdown. As the world opened up slowly, we made our plans to do a delayed reception party this March in Devon . Charlotte was amazing and blended into the crowd and caught many candid moments which is a very rare skill. We thoroughly enjoyed looking through our photos when we received them - there were some lovely photos with my husband and I that were edited beautifully and brought out the colours of our surroundings and what we wore. Additionally, seeing the candid moments of our guests throughout the night was very heartwarming to see captured which could only have been a possibility through Charlotte's skill. What do you love most about your job?
One of the first questions I am generally asked once people discover I am a photographer is… What do you photograph - families, weddings? My general response is yes, but if you were to classify subject matter I would have to say, I photograph 'People' whether it's the CEO of a major corporation, the first moments of life with a newborn, capturing those unforgettable moments at a wedding or simply really nice portrait work... I love working with people and capturing the essence of life within each of my subjects. I love meeting new people, shooting in different and exciting locations. Whenever possible I work with my clients on location, allowing my clients the freedom to be themselves, uninhibited by the confines of a studio. My goal at each session is to capture images that are timeless and filled with memories, to have and to hold and share for many years.
What inspired you to start your own business?
As a professional event organiser i spent many years taking photos of events for clients as i have always been passionate about photography, i spent many happy years assisting my grandfather who was an amazing photographer. A number of my clients said to me you should do photography professionally, and so the journey started over 10 years ago.
Why should our clients choose you?
Our clients needs come first and its very important to remember that it is their Wedding Day not a prolonged photoshoot! We always put the needs of our clients first whilst gently ensuring that their requests and requirements are met. All our previous clients have said that they were very relaxed with our presence and enjoyed having us sharing their special day with them.
