I had the BEST experience with Charlie. After interviewing several other designers and reviewing their work, I decided to go with Charlie to do my parents home. They had just done a huge renovation and we had no idea how decorate it. We had our black leather couches, white walls, and a few lamps in our living room. So Charlie came in and was extremely professional. He measured everything and really put a lot of thought in to his project. I love how he first gets to know your personal style and then works with you, and your budget. My parents house was transformed into the most cozy, comfortable, and gorgeous home...and all within our budget. Charlie is worth every penny and I highly recommend him! Charlie has been working on our home for the past one year. We first started with just our basement but then quickly decided we need him to help with the rest of our home. Many people may feel that they can decorate or just go to home goods and pick a few art pieces which is fine BUT if you were to see my home you would realize what a difference Charlie can make. His attention to detail, knowledge of various textures, color palettes is vast. I often can't see his vision but when I see the final product I always in awe. A friend recommended Charlie to me and I hired him to prepare my 3 rental homes in California. He was  excellent to work with. I told him my ideas, he guided me while helping me pick out  colors for painting, tile for the bathrooms, kitchen counter tops and carpet. He also made some inexpensive interior design suggestions that spruced up my rentals that exceeded my  expectations. He  was pleasant to work with, respectful and clean. I worked with Charlie in a suburb of Portland Or. on a whole house re-design. He really has a wonderful eye for style/design and attention to detail. His coordination of many trades on a tight timeline was very impressive and attests to his experience and knowledge of the field. We've been working together since 2013 and he's been one of the best designer I ever worked with. He listens what the customer likes - sometimes I see the designers insist what they like and that makes the customer really uncomfortable - and come up with the idea he and the customer happy as a team. He is also very available throughout the process and extremely responsive: good at communicating in person, emailing, on phone.
