Charlie did some wonderful headshots for my husband a few years ago, and I asked him to do mine as well when I bought my agency recently. Not only did Charlie go above and beyond (he packed up his entire studio and drove 45 minutes to my location at the last minute because of an error that I made in my scheduling for the day), but he was incredibly kind and professional, which put me at ease. I was not looking forward to having my picture taken because of how self conscious I feel, but Charlie was great, and I actually really like the way the photos turned out. During the photo shoot, he was diligent about making sure everything looked good (like a stray piece of hair, or a wrinkle in my shirt). And he also did some small but important touch ups during editing (like whitening my teeth a little and smoothing some of my eye wrinkles- my husband has noticeably uneven eyes when he smiles, and Charlie was able to make them look more symmetrical- just small things that make a big difference). It's also a helpful bonus that he gives his clients several file sizes for their picture so I could quickly plug them in to the different social media/marketing platforms I am using for my business. I would recommend Charlie to anyone looking for a photographer. More...

What’s the secret to taking a great photograph?
The secret to creating a great and, more importantly, an EFFECTIVE photograph is understanding why your client needs that image, what it is they're trying to accomplish with that image, and how it ties in with their overall mission and vision. Communication is key to this process.
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
What purpose will these images serve? What will you consider a successful image? What is most important to you about the photographs you'd like created? What do you NOT want in these images? Are there any special circumstances or requirements I need to be aware of?
What do you love most about your job?
I love taking on the different challenges of every project, meeting interesting people, and constantly learning about new businesses and industries and translating all of that into photographs that help people find more success in business or their personal lives.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I like the freedom of being able to directly help my clients without the filter of other objectives that may not deliver the best possible solutions. The ability to serve my clientele has a direct impact on my livelihood which drives me to do the absolute best I can for each of my clients.
Why should our clients choose you?
I believe the best images result from a collaboration between the creative and the client. Because of that, I do not take a "boilerplate" approach with any of my clients. I WANT to hear your input throughout the entire process so we can make the best decisions regarding the images I'm creating for you. I bring a truly personalized experience to your project with not only my photographic experience but also with twenty years of Fortune 500 and management experience and the understanding of what your messaging meant to your clients and your career.
