Visited last night with friends to see the Belly dancer Tina & she was great!! I was really impressed with the food. Such huge portions! ! Lots of salad came with my Lamb Shish & the meat was so tender. Really good meal. All my friends thought the food was excellent too. The owner & head waiter were very attentive & helpful. As I'm a Coeliac I was very pleased that they could easily point out what I couldn't eat & even gave me GF bread to go with the dips! Highly recommend Chanaks. More...

Great restaurant. Good food and friendly service at a fair price. Interesting different dips with flat bread and excellent kebabs of different types washed down in my case with Efes beer. Large room with well spaced tables and pleasant decor. I hope this restaurant does well. We went in mid week so did not need to book but I expect it is busier at weekends so booking recommended then. Found this little gem in the middle of woodlands in Bourne End. Amazing atmosphere, great service & awesome mouth-watering food. Couldn't believe my eyes when I entered and saw belly dancing in the restaurant. Very friendly and lively atmosphere. Waiters are super friendly and helpful too. In fact, one of them came around the table and showed cards tricks to us and entertained us while the food arrived which did not take too long. Delicious and beautifully presented authentic Turkish dishes. Congratulations to the new young chef who has only been there for 3 weeks. Best whitebait ever! And I recommend the Imam Bayildi.
