Went on a lovely tour of John Chads House, Spring Hose and Barns-Brinton Tavern with the CFHS. Very enjoyable time and knowledgeable people. They do great work preserving our National History and heritage! Thanks for a great tour and lunch at Mushroom Cafe! More...

This is truly one of the best tours I've ever had, and I've been here twice now and each tour guide had so much information to give and handled every question wonderfully. Look forward to coming back for their pumpkin carving festival More...

Went for The Great Pumpkin Carve. It was fun, albeit a little pricey. It can get crowded but from the feedback I've heard the flow of traffic is much better this year. We enjoyed the pumpkins and it was a lovely evening. Wear shoes that are appropriate for trekking through the mud. More...

We BIKED THE BRANDYWINE today. There was a choice of 25, 45, or 80 mile clearly marked bike rides with sag vehicles, rest stations with snacks and a great lunch afterward. All proceeds to benefit the Brandywine Conservancy. Great stuff! Put it on your calendar for 2019! More...

This is a beautiful sight to see. This place is in very bottom corner of Delaware County right near Chester County. It is located right behind Hank's place. There is a picnic ground and plenty of room to walk around and enjoy yourself. John Chads house is right across the street. This is a fun time for anybody who wants to be involved with anything historic. More...

Commemorates the historical aspects of Chadds Ford. Sponsors some nice events.
Over two decades of hosting the Great Pumpkin Carve.
Wonderful Halloween tradition with food, artistically carved-on-the-spot pumpkins, hay rides, spooky walk, & great live music.
However, improvements are needed. Something must be done about the long wsits. And the level of carving has gone downhill due to the CFHS disrespecting the carvers.
Also, turn the lights down to show the pumpkins at their best. And use rope, not police tape, as barriers (this is an aesthetic event, an art/craft show for heaven's sake, so make it look like something!)

It's was fun taking the kids. Was surprised it cost as much as it did to see the pumpkin carving contest. But we had a great time. Kids had fun.

I think it was called Chadds Ford Day. What ever it was it was super fun. Lots of reenactments, games for the kids with prizes, and craft vendors and very yummy food. Will go again!!!
