Renee has done the branding for both mine and my wife separate companies. It has helped shape our style and has given a more professional look to both businesses and it was a pleasure to work with Renee and we can both see us working with her again in the future.

At Green Farm Kent just felt very comfortable with Renee at Cerridwen Media. She came and visited us and got under the skin of the breadth and depth of our business, listened to our concerns about rebranding and produced excellent results that we are very pleased with. All at a fair price.

As we prepared to launch Bella Vista Bison, we entrusted Renee with our logo. Given that we run an event venue, it was a critical thing to get right in our marketing strategy, as we wanted it to project just the right image. We love the work she did and she consistently delivered on all of her promises. With Renee, you get both a creative genius and a solid business woman. More...

Renee was absolutely amazing, from start to finish of my project. She was extremely patient waiting for me to get feedback from my own client, and quick and accurate with the changes requested. Before Renee, I was in way over my head on a graphic request from one of my clients, and I was so lost as to how to proceed. Renee took the reigns and reassured me that she knew exactly what the client was looking for, so I felt confident about the final delivery. I've never actually worked with a graphic designer before, but Renee helped me feel taken care of and that she would treat this project as if it were her own. I couldn't possibly recommend her enough! More...

Q&As

Purpose. Know the purpose of your website. Make sure it is clear when visitors land on your home page. If the purpose of your site is not clear, your visitors likely won't stick around to get to know you more.

Usability. This covers navigation and ease of use, as well as whether your site is responsive. Keep your navigation simple and all pages no more than 3 clicks away. Is there a flow to your site? When a visitor lands on your site, does the layout and content naturally navigate them through the site or to where you want them to go (eg. call to action such a "Book Now"). Responsiveness relates to whether your site responds to various screen or device sizes. If it looks exactly the same on your iphone as it does on your 13" screen, it's not responsive. If it adjusts according to the screen or device size so visitors can read it clearly - and maintain the customer journey - you are more likely to draw in your visitors to convert them into paying clients.

Consistent branding and brand voice. You have a brand strategy in place, including your logo(s), typography, colours, brand-aligned imagery and content. Each page of your website uses the same brand elements, providing your site visitors with a consistent brand experience they will remember.

Fast load speed. With web users expecting a site to load in less than 2 seconds nowadays, it is crucial your site loads quickly OR you run the risk of losing potential customers before you've even had a chance to draw them in. One place to start improving your load speed is to optimise your images (compress them) using editing software such as Gimp or a plugin like Smush Pro.

Search Engine Optimisation (SEO). Optimising your site to show up in search engines like Google can make or break you. Know who you are targeting and perform a keyword research. Optimise your site pages with on-page SEO keyword targeting whilst maintaining content that flows well. (Hint: sometimes less, done well, means more.) Finally, make sure you create a strong sitemap that Google and Bing can index easily. Of course, there's a lot more to SEO, but these points are a great place to start.

Finally, make sure your site has SSL. Google now ranks sites with SSL higher than those without. They even place warnings on web users searches if a site doesn't have SSL. On mobile, no SSL penalises your site ranking further as well.

The above are just some of the things that make a great website.

When starting a new project, some of the questions we ask are:
If your brand/business was a person, what would their personality be like?
Describe your ideal client. What do they do? What do they like? What do they feel? etc...
What is the purpose of this project (eg. design, website, etc...)

All questions are designed to gather as much information about the client, their business and target market to ensure that any design work undertaken showcases the brand and speaks to their audience.

We use a 4 phase process for web design.

Discovery Phase: Where all information is gathered in one place. Brand/business personality, Client Avatars, brand assets, content, imagery, etc...

Design Phase: This phase includes 2 sub-phases based upon the information gathered during the Discovery Phase. Wireframes and styling of main pages are created. Here you'll be presented with wireframes, or skeleton drawings of the layout of your site. Once these have been agreed, we move onto styling cards of how your site could look, with imagery, colours and content added.

Development Phase: This phase is where all the technical stuff happens. From the server/hosting setup to the installation of the site on the server to the customisation and coding of the new site. This is when the site is built and your content is added to the designs we've decided on in the Design Phase.

Launch Phase: It's time to launch the site in the public realm! You may wish to create a plan with your team on how you wish to share your new site launch. You'll also receive training and support once the site has launched.

Personal and business contact details. Research forms completed for brand personality, client avatars, logo/brand design if required. Content/copy to be completed & sent in if copy is not included in the design package. Other items required will be imagery/graphics not included in design package and an initial project payment usually 40% of project price.

The creativity and being able to give a visual voice to my clients both on and offline.

Family and health reasons were my main inspiration for starting a business. I was tired of working for someone else with little or no recognition, and spending all of my time and energy on work that was unfulfilling. Being able to work for myself, I can choose when and with whom I work, thereby allowing a more balanced work-life approach to life.

I'm passionate about giving a visual voice to therapists, coaches, solopreneurs and social enterprises. As such, I'll take the design of your website or project very conscientiously, digging deep to understand the why for your project, as well as the who. I dig deep to understand all aspects of your business needs to ensure they are visually represented in the designs I create for you.
