Our one night stay at this quaint place was very enjoyable. The house is very well equipped with everything one could possibly ask for in a self catering accommodation. There is even a wood-fired hot tub in the back garden which comes equipped with a retractable awning. More...

Quick in contacting me and came to look at job on the day and time stated. A price for the work was agreed but I was made aware that it would be a few weeks before they could manage to do it. Job not done yet so can not comment on standard of work but happy with the way they responded and price quoted. More...

Absolutely stunning place and a real value for money. Couldnt recommend it enough. The hot tub outside might cost you extra but is a cherry on the cake that the apartment is and you wont regret using it. Just ask the owner to have a glimpse at the temperature. It was 45°C when we received it and took a long time for it to cool down a little. The women had it for themselves for the first hour before the men could join. More...

Had three large trees which had become unmanageable and I contacted Celtic Firs. Well what can I say, very professional job, with my garden left clean and tidy. All wood removed. I took advantage of their offer to remove the stumps. Would recommend them to anyone looking for tree work. Totally pleased and for the first time in ages I didn’t need lights on in my house during daylight hours!!! More...

I had my son's very overgrown messy garden in Wick cleared. The work was done when said and finished within time stated. Was kept informed throughout by email. Was very pleased with service and Celtic Firs deserve the 5 stars I've given them. Have already established that they will upkeep the garden throughout the year. More...

I stayed with my husband and toddler son for 2 nights in March. It was such a delight to stay here. The beds were extremely comfortable and the coach house so cosy and welcoming. The gifts were a lovely touch and we had everything we needed. Perfect location to explore more of Scotland and the Cairngorms. Note that the wooden floor can be quite slippery, as my little one tripped whilst going up the stairs, so wear slippers or slipper socks if worried about this. More...

This place was great. Excellently finished accommodation with everything you could possibly need. No words would do this place justice. Spent the weekend here and enjoyed it!! and the company very much. The kitchen is quite small but we went to restaurants both nights so didn't really trouble us. The whole cottage had a nice cosy feel and i couldn't think of anything which had been forgotten either entertainment wise or in the kitchen. Also the wine and biscuits on arrival was a nice touch. One problem was the beds aren't the comfiest. But all in all had a great time and would definitely recommend it More...

As a family day trip including my Niece in a wheelchair, we visited Pitlochry. It was a warm sunny day. What a gorgeous friendly town. Loads of different shops, from various Charity Shops to sweet shops to souvenir shops to coffee shops and restaurants and hotels, to mention just a few! We decided upon The Old Coach House for lunch predominantly because it was quiet, with lots of tables free outside. There was a slight slope which took us to the outdoor tables, easily accessed by wheelchair. It had a fairly extensive menu. Between us we can highly recommend the *smoked haddock & potato soup, lentil soup (today's soup of the day) and jacket potato with grated cheese. By the time we left, every table was taken outside. It seemed to be a good place for cyclists to refuel too! *soup was called something different on the menu, I wish I could remember what it was! I am presuming that it is a Scottish name (not coming from Scotland, I am not too sure) I hope that you too have the same experience that we did today. More...

We prefer talking to owners of holiday lets or BnB’s when we arrive, as the alternative is to read lots of impersonal instructions, as was the case with The Old Coach House. That said, our 4 night stay here in Pitlochry was an enjoyable experience. The old Coach House was clean and comfortable. The kitchen, though compact, was perfectly functional, as was the outside laundry area. The comfortable lounge/dining area had French doors that opened onto a pretty garden area. The Wifi was better than we anticipated, the shower was hot and strong and the beds comfortable enough for a good night’s rest. The location above Pitlochry was peaceful, but for older folks the walk up from the main street would be a challenge better suited for a car. With lots to offer holidaymakers in and around Pitlochry and reasonably priced, we would recommend The Old Coach House as a place to stay. More...

The property has a lovely setting and the garden would be lovely in the summer. The house is well equipped and has beautiful floors. The place was clean tidy and we loved the extra's which were left ie, milk wine biscuits etc. We had a lovely weekend and the house is well worth a visit. It is up a couple of hills but if you love walking then it is not a problem and we enjoyed the walks to and from the town. Had a great stay and would return again also will recommend to family and friends More...

pleasant self contained cottage. Decor is outdated and could do with modernisation but that is only criticism. ||One bin had not been emptied in bathroom and had a sanitary pad in it, so not too happy about that, but otherwise it was spotless. This was clearly overlooked by the cleaner on this one occasion. ||I left a piece of clothing in the property, and have been in contact and informed it would be posted to me. We booked the Old Coach House originally for late January, but due to a change in our arrangements needed to move to a couple of weeks later - there was no problem with changing our booking and we were offered a couple of different weekends in Feb, but the owners did charge us an additional £12 to change weekends. ..which we thought was a bit off - particularly in low season when they clearly had availability....but hey ho. ||Apart from that (which irritated us a bit), we had a lovely stay there. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen was VERY well equipped. The owners kindly left us some milk so we could have a cuppa when we arrived, and there was a bottle of wine left too. All in all it is a lovely wee place and we would definitely go back... ||The less positive stuff (which is really minor)............but we are pointing this out purely to be constructive........||There were quite a few cobwebs in the main bedroom on the ceiling and behind the bed (which I noticed when plugging in my phone charger)||There was also a pair of socks under the bed (!)||The bathroom had quite a few 'nick nacks' in it which were quite dusty too - I would either get rid of the dust traps so there are less places for it to collect, or if they are part of the character of the place then make sure they are dusted regularly||The cottage was a bit cold in the morning - I think the heating should be set to come on earlier in the winter||Decor is a bit 'tired' - but its really homely.....like going to your favourite aunties house||All of which is minor, but it was noticable||||Great little place - and we had a lovely stay in Pitlochry More...

We stayed in this lovely cottage recently in order to ski at Glenshee, which is only 30 miles away. We found it to be very clean and comfortable, and extremely well equipped. We spent a few days here for a skiing trip and this place was perfect for our group of four. Extremely comfortable and well furnished and equipped. Welcome pack with bottle of wine, milk and coffee plus full larder of condiments and other non perishables. Bathroom had selection of toiletries too. Bedding and towels clean and fresh.||||Location good for skiing in Glenshee. As a non skier I enjoyed walking the dog around the lovely town and to the nearby village of Moulin. The Moulin Hotel has a great olde worlde bar and serves excellent food.||||We'd recommend it to other families and groups of friends and would stay again if we go back to the area. More...

Stayed here for a long weekend at the beginning of may. The house is traditional and very well equipped with lots of small touches like wine, cereal, milk and toiletries. We've just spent three days at The Old Coach House and particularly enjoyed the central location and many 'homely touches' provided. ||It is certainly well equipped, though be prepared for the steep stairs and downstairs bathroom - not the best combination for middle of the night calls of nature! ||The two bedrooms were light and roomy, but while my husband found the bed fine, I agree with another reviewer who found the mattress a bit hard. ||We certainly appreciated all the thoughtful items in the kitchen and lounge and the garden was the 'icing on the cake', a real picture and a credit to the gardener.||We also found the payment and booking was done professionally and with ease, and we received prompt assistance when we had trouble with the washing machine - note - the door lock light flashes even if you HAVE shut the door properly, but goes off when you then start the cycle - whereas we were worried that it might flood the laundry, but then we are Aussies who don't have a lot of experience with front loaders.||Overall a lovely stop - but if you like jewellery, beware of too many visits to the nearby Heather gems shop!||Happy travelling - and shopping!||Jay2000 More...

We stayed in the Old Coach House over a weekend to attend a wedding. On arriving we were very impressed by the amount of thought that had gone in to making this place a home from home. Not only was the accommodation as described on the website but there was so much more in the amount of bits and bobs that make you feel that you were living in a home, not a holiday let - the kitchen appliances and hardware, enough plates and cutlery so you didn't need to wash up after every meal (anyway, you just the dishes in the dishwasher and go for a walk..), the DVDs, CDs, games (many thanks for the providing the giant cards - it meant I didn't need to keep changing my spectacles.) Only minutes to the main street. And absolutely fantastic value. Other guests at the wedding were paying more than twice what we paid for this charming cottage and all they got was a pretty tired looking bedroom! More...

Have travelled many times through the lovely Perthsire town of Pitlochry en route to the Highlands but have never stayed there, but decided this year to have a go and very glad we did. Found the quaint cottage (The Old Coach House) on the website and so pleased we did. What an excellent cottage to stay at in a perfect location with so much to see and do (which we did) as a family of 4. The owners had thought of everything even down to the welcome bottle of wine for the grown ups and soft drinks for the children. The cottage which was cosy had everything and more that you can imagine and it made the return journey every night more welcoming. If you have never been to Pitlochry then suggest that one day you give it a go and if you are looking for good accommodation then 'The Old Coach House' is the place to stay. More...
