We were immediately at ease after first meeting Denise, she is calm and friendly and clearly loves cats. We went away for two weeks and it was the first time we had left Missy & Roxy so we were quite worried about them. Denise communicated with us almost every day with pictures of them both and updates on what they'd been up to which was lovely. Excellent communication from Denise, we really appreciated the updates and pics while we were away. Our more confident cat loved her, and even the nervous one put in an appearance. Even though both of the cats are quite messy with their food and litter, the house was completely spotless when we got home. The cat sitting report was lovely as well. What do you love most about your job?
I have loved animals all of my life especially cats, being able to care for them whilst their owners are away, and being able to keep them in the comfort of their own home alleviating any stress from both the pet & owner gives me a great satisfaction knowing I have helped to keep their beloved pet in as normal a routine as possible. Plus I get the added satisfaction of being able to pet & cuddle these wonderful animals in their owners absence.
What inspired you to start your own business?
We adopted 2 beautiful kitten sisters around 6 years ago, unfortunately at only 1year old Poppy developed non regenerative anaemia , we tried everything to save her but within a week she had died. 3 weeks later Phoebe. Showing the same symptoms was diagnosed with the same problem, we were referred to a specialist & Phoebe was put on a lifetime dose of medication to keep her alive, we learnt to recognise when she had a relapse & were able to increase her dosage accordingly. We were lucky in that I had a very good friend & family who we could trust her to when we were away, It was because of this that made me realise that some people don't have the help we did, and so I started my business, to be able to help people who want to keep their cat in their own home whilst they are away., gives me a great satisfaction knowing I have been able to help.
Why should our clients choose you?
I have had experience in caring for a poorly cat, I am able to administer oral medication , and recognise problems. My cats have been indoor cats and I understand the need to keep them happy & stimulated in the home through play. Cats do not like change in their routine and I believe by caring for them in their own home I am able to keep them happy, healthy & stress free.
