What’s the secret to taking a great photograph?
The secret is to bring the real person out of themselves! Often we see people forcing a smile but that is nothing compared to the real expression of happiness a smile is.
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
I always begin with what does someone or the group wants to say with their images. If someone has a message I want to be clear their voices are heard. Also the price afterwards ha ha
What do you love most about your job?
I love seeing the clients, looking at their creations or looking at themselves and seeing their perspectives change and grow. With headshots its always difficult to bring actors out as their authentic selves but seeing them become almost vulnerable on camera is something very beautiful to me.
I also love seeing a shy timid person come alive into these strong confident people drawing out the potential within themselves to be a strong warrior or powerful leader or a vulnerable person.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I was in college in Lyit when I decided to start capturing images and seeing the process and feeling like I needed to take the reins of my on creative journey and find a new voice. My sister Joanne helped me to bring this dream to reality.
Why should our clients choose you?
I will be with the clients every step of the way. I've always tried to make sure my clients felt comfortable and confident with themselves and will go the extra mile to ensure they enjoy, relax and even play a little in our sessions. I also have been on both sides of the camera as a former actress so I know exactly how people feel when stepping in front of it for the first time. My prices are relatively reasonable and I am an exceptionally hard worker who always strives to create the highest quality of work I can manage. I also make sure there's tea or coffee for the home studio sessions ha ha
