What’s the secret to taking a great photograph?
The some of the secrets for a great photograph are the obvious, the details, composition, lighting, and the emotions and story the photograph portrays.
However, to actually take a great photograph takes a lot of practice and passion. I’ve spent years studying, and continuous shooting and have learnt its all about the small details combined, with an excellent imagination and a passion for creativity to get that great final photograph!
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
Before I work with any clients I will always ensure I am fully prepared, and understand my clients vision.
Some examples of question I ask are...
* What are the emotions, feelings or vibes you want from your final images? (I will sometimes asked for examples)
* What is your current demographic? What kind of demographic are you trying to attract? (This is a question I will normally ask someone who is using the photography to sell a product, such as clothing)
* What format would you like your photographs in? (Are they for online, prints, canvas etc)
* How many photographs do you need? (This is one of the most important questions, if you have a budget you want to stick too)
* What things do you have to have in your photographs? (Is it a certain item of clothing etc)
* How many people need to be photographed? (Do you have models, or will you be in the photographs yourself)
* How much time do you have for the shoot? (Depending on how many photographs you need, times could vary)
* When is your deadline? (Have you got a date you need the images by)
* Where will the shoot take place? (Do you need a studio, or somewhere outdoors)
There are so many other questions I could give examples of, but this will be something that I will go in to more detail on once we start chatting!
What do you love most about your job?
The creativity! Art was always my favourite subject, so being able to combine my love for makeup and photography in to my working life is just a dream!
What inspired you to start your own business?
The freedom, I love to travel around so many different locations, and meet so many different people. No working day is ever the same!
