I would highly recommend Castle Gym to anyone its affordable, the equipment is great and there's always new stuff being added or developed on. in the nearly two years that I've been a member its added new equipment like an area for deadlifting, new shoulder press machine, abductor machines, cardio room and revamped changing rooms to name a few. LOVE this place- I needed somewhere to lift heavy while away on a course and Ray helped me feel at home. The other members were great and welcoming, even though I wasn’t a regular and I had no problem finding my way around after getting a tour. Great atmosphere but serious lifting happening. Superb gym and excellent facility to train in. Luke and his team are extremely knowledgeable, welcoming and take the time to support and help you every step of the way. Classes are brilliant, and suitable from beginners to fitness addicts. visiting Nottingham for a few days. looked for a gym in close proximity to where we we staying and this place popped up. proper old school gym. Although the very weights focused a great cardio section as well. Managed to get a free pass and the guys were very welcoming and very no nonsense. let me get in with it although I'm sure if I needed any support would give it. fantastic selection of weights and machines. I would definitely recommend! you're not tied into a contract, you can even pay for the session if you want..... nice cardio room upstairs with weights, I used to go there because I could work out and was out of the way. Luke the owner is so friendly and makes you feel welcome, so helpful in telling you the right things to do, also has his dog in the gym who is part of the castle gym family which gives it a warm feel. Also there are fitness classes and nutrition shop! what more can you want from a gym?! would rate it over gyms like 'the gym' any day! More...

Been to Castle Gym a good handful of times now and I've always felt welcomed. There's so much equipment, you'll never be bored and everyone is friendly, so if you need advice someone will be able to help. Excellent studio upstairs, catering to a range of fun classes. Went to look at Castle Gym this afternoon. Last time I was in there was 1986ish. Hard-Core Gym. I have to say that I was really really impressed! Why? Luke, the owner took the time to talk to me and my partner, showed us around his gym. Not just a few pleasantries, but took the time to chat. The equipment is old BUT well maintained AND I did not see one worn out/holey vinyl bench seat, freyed cable or broken cable. The gym was very clean and tidy. This is a real body builders gym and if you are just starting out to build a better shape or simply to increase you fitness levels, you wont go far wrong with this gym, seriously! If I had one critism, I wish it opened earlier than 8am, but thats just a personal thing as I like to train early in a morning. I will be there in the morning, Sunday.
