Hey I’m Martin Suker,
I’ve been running Carrot Top Photos since 2014
I actually started my adult life training and working as a chef, Yes Thats right! I haven’t been trained as a photographer, but don’t stress. Training as a photographer often means you stick to rules and ways of working that you have been taught, rather than being creative and innovative, which lets be honest is what you want hey? something different from the hundreds of other photographers out there.
I actually started taking photos when I was working with food, and I still love to create dishes that look fantastic in photos. That being said my favourite subject is people, I shoot and run a photography team at Hillsong Church London which has allowed me to perfect my art of a candid and creative style capturing natural emotions and charisma of the people I have the privilege of seeing through my lens.
I now spend the majority of my time, capturing weddings, portraits and events In London and throughout the UK and am even lucky enough to have shot Destination weddings across the world (More of those please!, I love a good trip to a warm country!)
Over the years I have worked closely with West-End theatres, Cathedrals, Registry offices and Large scale entertainment venues, including the O2 and SSE Wembley arenas in London and have no difficulty in adapting and capturing the real, organic beauty of the world around my lens.
I am an Adobe Accredited Associate in Photoshop that being said however I prefer to keep things as natural and as real as possible in my photos. Sure if theres a spot or a scar you hate I’ll have no problem in removing it, but do you really want photos of your mother in law missing a few kilos or your best man with an enhanced six pack, Of course you don’t.
