I have used Rick Carr at Carr Warner for two large projects - a custom modern home built from ground up and a transitional home renovation and addition. Rick's vision coupled with his attention to detail has provided an excellent design and execution experience. He is fun to work with and both projects brought creativity, excitement, confidence and success. He provided referrals for many subcontractors that performed beautifully as well. He works collaboratively and he gets to know you well enough to anticipate your needs. Since he does both exterior and interior design, everything works well and the process goes smoothly. Carr Warner Architects is top notch!! Rick and Bill are a great team and work very well together along with their clients. We recently gutted and rehabbed a two flat in the city into a single family home. Rick did an amazing job designing our new home. Our new home truly meets our family needs and created a wonderful space to live along with entertaining family and friends. Rick has a keen eye for detail and vision of space. We have received many compliments regarding our new home and how the space was used. Rick and Bill are also very attentive to your questions and are very helpful with the whole process of rehab/construction. Carr Warner Architects are fabulous and would only use them for further project! And currently - Carr Warner Architects are doing a renovation project for my sister too! More...

We used Rick Carr of Carr Warner to do a remodel/bumpout on our first floor and combine two bedrooms for a master suite on our second. We had a wonderful experience. Rick is creative, easy to work with and very talented. We stayed on track and finished on time. He was easy to reach if we had questions. He worked well with our builder. The whole project was actually an enjoyable experience. I know that is crazy but it was. We have this amazing kitchen, bedroom, basement and outdoor space now. It was worth any inconvenience. Carr Warner is exceptionally inovative, with fantastic & unique design ideas. Richard Carr not only created incredible structural additions and interiors for us, he advised and assisted with styles, fabrics, textiles and colors. We have used this firm 3 times for house remodels and a garage construction. Both house remodels were gut rehabs and the garage included an outdoor room. We have enjoyed working with them and are very pleased with the results. I find them very knowledgeable, budget minded and professional. They stayed involved throughout the construction phase which has been a great help to us. Since our gut rehabs involved older homes, we always ran into some unexpected glitch. Whenever we did, they were there to help us with a creative solution. An example of this is when we opened the back of our house for an addition and found extra wall space, we ended up with a beautiful paneled arched opening with built in shelving on the sides. Another example is fitting a kitchen into our desired space with everything that we wanted and retaining some of the old house charm. More...
