Carol instantly made me feel relaxed and at ease in front of the camera. Like many people, I get pretty awkward posing but Carol was clear and patient in her direction. The end result was some great shots that are of such high quality that I cannot wait to use them to promote my music business. Thanks, Carol! xx More...

Carol is a true professional, a pleasure to work with and delivers work that is absolutely top drawer!
We hired her for a live band photoshoot. After initial contact and discussion, we didn't even realise she was there throughout the performance and the quality of the photos delivered were quite frankly amazing!
Would not hesitate to recommend her to anyone!

Carol did a brilliant job colouring an old black and white photo, despite not having a good copy to work on. Mum is really pleased with the result. Highly recommended.

Q&A

A happy 'sitter'! When a subject is comfortable, relaxed and happy - not just physically but with their photographer - getting a great photograph (or many) is virtually assured!

What is the purpose of the shoot: how will they use the images and what message or emotion do they want to portray.

Meeting people and showing them at their best. I am a self-confessed people watcher and find interest and beauty in every one of my sitters. I get the most satisfaction when someone who hates having their photo taken loves ones from the shoot so much they can't wait to share them on Social Media :-)

I've had my own business for over 25 years - by 'trade' I am a web designer - but have always had a love of photography (I took it in College) and have always taken photographs for special events held by friends and family. With the steady turn away from custom websites to online do-it-youself companies and my waning enthusiasm for the IT industry I decided it was the perfect time for a career change to something I loved doing rather than just 'did'.

Well they should choose a photographer that they are confident in and would feel comfortable with. My photography sessions are informal and my style outgoing, relaxed and humourous - I have learned this usually gets the best results - but it's not a style that would suit everyone. I would suggest speaking to two or three photographers to find which would be the best 'fit' for you and therefore achieve the best photographs.
